Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

He shrugged. "Well, I wouldn't exactly call it kidnapped..." He waved his hand around vaguely.

"I bet you were utterly adorable, but yeah, I'm glad I missed it. Being reduced to a kid again is not my idea of fun."

Janet nodded. "But aliens were involved? Because really, it could be anything around this place."

"It was fun at the time," said Janet. "But in retrospect, I think fingerpainting Dr. Jackson's walls was a very bad move."

"Around here, it's hard to tell the aliens from anyone else." He figured that, based on the people of all descriptions wandering around, that was probably a safe bet. "But if you were wee, you could hardly be held responsible, right?"

"Most of the time, anyway," said Janet. "Oh, he wasn't mad, don't get me wrong. I was just mortified! Anyway, I have to go and it's about time for me to hop offline. Don't vanish again, okay?"
