Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

"That he and his little brother were sent here for camp while his dad was on a business trip. I think." She'd been kind of busy staring at his mouth. Kind of like now.

494 was beginning to think he really liked attention of a certain kind. Definitely this kind. He grinned slowly and sequed onto another topic. "So, Z, where you from?"

"Well it looks like New Zealand, so yes, really south. Kind of north. Near Reefside and Blue Bay Harbor?"

"Huh. Never heard of 'em," 494 said, frowning inwardly as he rechecked his mental map of notable California cities. Not that he had them all memorized, but still. "What brings you to Fandom though?"

"Well, the SPD Academy is under repair so it can MOVE, so when I got arrested recruited, they had to send me somewhere else instead. And lucky me, they chose here."
