Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

Phoebe laughed. "Fandom is interesting place, Greg," she said. "You never know what you'll see or find here."

Phoebe looked at Pip and thought about this. "Well, we were both surprised by some things... and I know I wouldn't have believed much of it had I been told beforehand... what do you think?"

"Nice try," Greg said languidly. "Scare the new kid, giggle at the poor guy wandering around in fear of creatures that live in the woods or whatever. Not that gullible, buddy. Sorry to disappoint."

Phoebe stared giggling. "Well, do us a favor, then, Greg? If someone asks you to join the Gremlin Bite Support group? Don't."

Phoebe looked at Pip and then grinned and shook her head.

"I don't think anyone has seen him yet, " she said. "However, the dean will let us know if anyone does." She looked at Greg. "How do you feel about demons?"

"Same way I do about the boogeyman - if demons stay out of my way, they can totally crash in my closet or under my bed if needs be," he replied without skipping a beat.

Phoebe looked at Pip and Pippi and then back at Greg.

The image of Cole hearing this caused her to start giggling. "Cole!" she said to her two friends.

"It's best if you keep that in mind from now on." she said smiling. "What floor are you on?"
