Welcome Party for the Summer Students and Staff

Despite the slightly overcast sky, the weather is still good for welcoming all of the new arrivals for the Fandom High summer session. The graduation decorations (and gremlin debris) have been cleared from the front lawn, and replaced with tables of information packets, food, and drinks. A series of signs point the students to the information table first, where they can pick up their room assignments from the office drones, and then continue on to the food tables to mingle.

And no, there are no inflatable gremlins around today. It's far too early to start scaring the new folks. That's what the mingling section is for!

"Nadia. That's a very pretty name." said Peter, still trying to sound smooth.

He held up a hot dog towards Nadia. "Weiner?" he asked

"Thank you." Nadia took a step back. "But, no, you look like you'd enjoy it more. I wouldn't want to . . . deprive you."

Walter looked over from where he was breaking a new student's brain about what time she was in and snickered.

Peter shrugged and took a bite out of the hot dog. "Suit yourself."

He looks over Nadia slowly. It was very obvious that he was checking her out. "Well I hope to see more of you in school. I don't mean that in a dirty way. Well, I do if you're into it." he pauses for a few seconds. "Boobies."

Okay, Walter was going to let Nadia flail, but that was going a bit far.

"I see you've met my... girlfriend," he said to Peter with a forbidding look.

"Oh yeah! She's hot!" says Peter, obviously missing Walter's threat.

He offers the half eaten hot dog he offered Nadia before. "Would you like a weiner?"

No, I broke up with my boyfriend.

"Yes, she is. No, thank you. And I'd appreciate your keeping a civil tongue with her." Alas, Walter has never met someone who might take the last entirely literally.

"Whoa buddy, I just met her. I'm not going to start licking her yet!" says Peter in all seriousness.

"Are you a student? Or new custodial staff?" Everyone Walter had met so far in Fandom, other than Baldrick, had been rather on the ball. Quite unlike this guy.

"A student of course!" says Peter matter of factly. "I'm here to learn. And to meet chicks. But mostly to learn."

"Oh. Lucky us." He looked around for Nadia, now that she'd made her retreat. "I'm Walter. I'm sure I'll see you around." But now it was time to follow Nadia.

Nadia was beginning to think she should have brought her mallet to the party as she continued backing away. "Uh-huh." Her eyes widened. "I mean, no! Not dirty! Seeing--but--" She babbled out somethign rapidly in Spanish that ended in "adios".

Pippi bumped into Nadia, possibly as Nadia turned away from Peter.

"Ooof! Oh, sorry Nadia! ... Who's your new friend?"

"Friend?" Nadia still had a slightly shellshocked expression. Fortunately, Walter was handling it.

And he called her his girlfriend. EEEEEEE!

"Peter Griffin, apparently. I can't wait to see what Skeeter turns him into, should he meet her."

Pippi smiled and cast a glance over at Walter chatting with Peter and leaned over to Nadia clandestinely, "Maybe we can get something of hers to bite him."
