He's certainly spent a lot of time in his office this week, Daniel reflects. He's marking Molly's archaeology report. Maybe he'll get the other reports in early enough to mark them today?

Although that would require him to be productive. Possibly not.

His door is open.

Pippi pokes her head in the door.

She's wearing her Grandfather Fabe's pirate coat and that's it.

Daniel looked up. "Hello, Pippi," he said with a smile. "How are you today?"

"A little chilly." she said wryly. "Today is my birthday. And I couldn't remember if I'd turned in my report or not on the Temple. I thought I had but... It's been a strange couple of days... Even for here."

"Well, you've got a nice warm looking coat on there, so I'm sure you'll warm up soon," Daniel said. "And happy birthday." He hunted around the papers on his desk. "I can't seem to see it..."

"Well I brought a new copy just in case."

The paper is a description of her and Molly's adventures exploring the temple, with footnotes that indicate she was paying attention to what Daniel was explaining to them. It may also have a rather interesting story about a mummy who invited them to tea... Daniel probably doesn't remember that part.

"Thank you, Pippi," Daniel smiled taking the paper from him. "I'll make sure this copy stays safe."

"Thank you Dr. Jackson. I had a lot of fun in class."

"I'm glad to hear that. Will you be coming back to Fandom next year?"

"Oh yes. I'm even staying over the summer!" she said.

"And yourself? Will there be a Thing-Finding workshop?"

Daniel shook his head. "Not for the first half at least," he said. "I'll be doing my own "thing-finding" in Egypt. But we'll see how RL life goes and maybe I'll make it back for the second session."

"Thank you," he smiled. "I'll be back in the fall to teach again at any rate."

"I appreciate your faith in me," Daniel grinned. "And with you and Blair that means that I'll have at least two students again," he joked.

She stood up and bobbed a curtsey.

"Thank you very much. I'll let you get back to your work and see if the laundry machines will give me back the rest of my stuff. See ya!"
