Good morning, everyone! It's time for another summer of Anakin Skywalker Pretends This Teaches Team Building But Mostly Amuses Himself!

Or "Shenanigans."

The bleachers for viewing were set up in the park, close to the pond and near the Belthazor Commemorative Divot. Food vendors, remembering how this worked, had arrived with hot dogs, popcorn, and rum for the squirrels. And coffee. Just...so much coffee. Huge flatscreens were set up facing the bleachers, which the hint that today's event would not just stay inside the park, and the cameras were trained at...well, ankle height or the sky for now because squirrels and rum.

Anakin and his bullhorn were standing behind a folding table stacked high with brightly patterned shirts, and people who had been here before knew that just because the shirts were free, it never, ever meant you wanted to wear them.

"GOOD MORNING!" he boomed through the completely unnecessary bullhorn when enough people were gathered. "Welcome to another summer of team building activities!"

He might be waiting for a while if he was expecting cheers, just saying.

"Today, as has become tradition, we shall conduct a relay race around the island to acquaint you newcomers with where various stores and landmarks are!" he said. "Please listen as your name is called and then come up for your team-building clothing."

AKA: bizarre shirts.

"You will be in four teams of seven players each. You may not use your powers, should you have any, today."

Arden was handed some kind of...she was just going to hope it really was some kind of alien animal otherwise somebody was in dire need of National Geographic documentaries, stat...and then had to bunny hop all the way back to the park.

Welp, here went nothing. And at least she'd have no problem knocking Dean down if it came to it!

"You should slow down, Dean!" Arden called hopping madly. "You're gonna bust a hip!"

"Oh! It's like that?" Dean shouted back as he continued to gain ground. "Old jokes? Really?"

"They're not jokes when I'm legitimately concerned for your health!" Arden called back. "Eat a vegetable, Dean! Men get osteoporosis, too!"

"I am not getting osteoporosis!" Dean shouted as he continued to bunny hop closer. "And my cheeseburger last night had lettuce and onion on it."

"Those barely count for calories, never mind nutrition," Arden declared. "Eat a fucking salad, Dean! I haven't had enough first aid to learn how to CPR if you have a heart attack while bunny hopping."

"If I'm in such sorry shape, why am I gaining on you?" Dean snarked back.

"Because I'm slowing down so you don't have to strain to hear the conversation?" Arden suggested. Innocently.

"Or you just handle the fact that an old man is a better hopper than you!" Dean yelled.

Look, he just hopped past most of the competition and was coming close to winning this thing.

Cute of him to think that. Arden eyed the distance between them and slowed down just a little bit more.

"So this is just like a normal thing for you?" she asked. "Probably one of those early warning signs we should be watching out for."

"I haven't had a normal day in my life since I was four years old," Dean growled back.

Which would seem really scary if he wasn't hoppity hopping down a bunny trail carrying balloon animals.

"And you make a lovely Wish.com Easter Bunny," Arden said, letting him catch up until they were about shoulder to shoulder.

Look there are certain things Dean uses the internet for. Wish.com is not one of them.

"Wish dot com," Arden said patiently. "Goddess Dean, you are so old. I almost feel guilty about this."

And then she shoulder-checked him.

Dean stumbled mid him and fell to the ground. Nope. No way he’d catch up now. “You’re going to pay for that Finch!”

And then he realized what he said.

“But only in the figurative sense and does entail any obligation.”

Awww. Arden glanced behind her at him. "Thank you for the clarification," she called as she bunny hopped across the finish line.
