Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day

Whoever worked the weather magic around here had done an excellent job to make sure things were nice outside for all the new (and old) residents of Fandom. It was warm and sunny, but not so humid that people would melt. There was plenty of moddable food and drinks, places to sit in the shade, and more than enough nametags to go around. It was time to celebrate the start of the summer!

Kamala had a plate of food as she was nibbling on as she just stared at most of the people at the party.

Why was everyone here so beautiful?

Charlie wouldn't consider herself beautiful or old, but she was cheerful if that counted for anything!

"Food's great, isn't it?" she said easily. "Welcome to Fandom!"

The food was so great Kamala had been in the middle of a bite when Charlie had approached her. She held up a finger for a moment to clear her mouth and swallow before speaking. "Hi! Thank you. I'm Kamala. New Freshman. That's probably obvious."

"It's a small place," Charlie said cheerfully, "so it's super easy to tell if someone is new, but don't worry, pretty much everyone here is friendly. I'm Charlie, by the way, Charlie Gale. Not a new freshman, but don't hold that against me. I'm a rising junior at the high school part of this place."

"Thanks!" Charlie said. "It's a charm. Hey, people have told you about this place right? I mean it's wonderful, but it's, well, not your average town. Island. Whatever."

"Interdimensional nexus, future babies, turning into animals and the other week artwork attacked everyone," Kamala said confidently. "And also there is indoor plumbing."

Lydia had prepped this one well, Charlie.
