So...Arden apparently had a job now. In the library. Which also happened to be an interdimensional nexus point of libraries (situated on an interdimensional nexus point of realities), and a temperamental liminal space that needed a warden and where books could just decide to start warring with one another and that was just...normal. Also it followed the Dewey Decimal system and books needed to be reshelved, just like a normal library. And none of that was taking Special Collections into account, which Arden had just decided wasn't her responsibility or her business. She was very good at that.

But since it was her first day, she was just going to...go around and introduce herself to the books. Which would seem more crazy if she didn't live in a house that was also alive. At this point, she was going to start introducing herself to random inanimate objects just to be safe.

"Um, hello. I'm Arden, the new...I think my official title might be librarian minion? Either way, I work here now and hope we can get along. Okay? Okay, cool."

First day of work and nothing was exploding. Which was either a good sign or it was biding its time. Either way, time would tell, she guessed.
