In the Cupcake of Good and Evil, Tuesday 2nd Period [4/2]
"So, we just had Easter last weekend," Summer said, which, hey, could be a promising start? "So, you know how it is, lots of candy, chocolates, jelly beans….but another iconic symbolic part of Easter is an egg. And I know what you're probably thinking, you're probably thinking, 'but Summer, cupcakes usually already have eggs, don't' they? It's often an essential part of the batter!' And, yes, that's true, that's egg inside the cake of the cupcake, but what if we put the eggs on the outside?
"Like, here I have some maple bacon egg cupcakes, and, while the original recipe I found called for a gummy egg, I, of course, put a real fried egg on top. I guess if you were fancy you could do fondant, too!”
“Fondant looks nice,” Stark said. “It doesn’t taste very good. But probably better than a fried egg on the top of a cupcake…but we have plenty of egg-shaped candies that will work even better. Don’t we?”
They did. They had so much candy. It seemed like maybe T&C hadn’t sold as much as candy last week as they might normally have done leading up to a candy holiday. For some unknowable reason, clearly.
“We have mini eggs that can sit in little frosting nests,” Stark suggested. “Those are nice. Everyone likes chocolate and every part of them is meant to be a dessert.”
"I also made deviled egg and ham and egg cupcakes, too!" Summer reported, because of course she did.
Honestly, y'all were getting off easy this week.Even if getting off was easier last week.
Stark sighed a little and shook his head. “Summer. Why?” He knew the answer. He had to ask anyway. “Ham doesn’t go in cupcakes or on cupcakes and even bacon is questionable, really. And…deviled eggs? Really?”
"Yes," said Summer, confidently, and why ask questions you already knew the answer to, Stark? "Really."

Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"Should we try the deviled eggs, too?" He was already reaching for one. It seemed like the thing to do. "Even if they are evil? Why are they called that? Deviled?"
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
Hey, maybe she should ask Lucifer. He'd love that!
Jesus, how long had it been since she even talked to that guy, wow.
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"We could look it up." But that would be way less fun than seeing what Lucifer said.
"Or just eat it. I'll eat it. You've made much worse things. This is just egg and eggs are fine. Even if cupcakes shouldn't taste of mustard and egg."
This was not stopping him from taking a bite. Why would it? He'd tried much worse things for Summer.

Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
That was the wrong kind of gross, Summer.
"You don't always have to go hard, you know."
Phrasing?
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
But her response was all smirk.
"Oh, I know," she said. "But it is more fun when I do, don't you think?"
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"It can be. Yes. But you know that."
Just ignore that little far-off expression on his face. He totally wasn't thinking about Summer 'going hard' recently.
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
Summer was just going to look at Stark's expression and shake her head and eat her cupcake, with a faint smirk that was obviously unrelated, really.
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"See, the candy eggs are better, aren't they?"
Very smooth change of subject. Really.
"Are you going to the gym, later?"
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"Uh-huh," she said. "Right after class is done. I've found that seems to work best, timing wise."

Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
Not even bothering to hide the little smirk now.
"I don't know about this week. And after that...I have no plans?"
He wasn't sure why that came out as a question. It just did.
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
But Summer, who definitely felt like that was the case, had him covered.
"You wanna stop by after? I mean, it's not like it's out of your way or anything, and you can tell me what you worked on."
Tuesdays were kind of great, anyway, since Stark had radio in the morning, so she didn't even have to feel awkward about kicking him out to work on her jello.
"Especially if it involves more...nailing."
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"I could bring food," Stark offered. "If you think you might be hungry. I'd like to come over. And talk about nailing that might or might not have happened?"
But only certain nailing. Not all of it. Some things didn't need to be shared right now. Some things might not ever need to be shared.
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
Maybe he could swing by and see what they were serving up at the diner today!
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"Maybe I'll be inspired by class," Stark said. "I could always bring something on a stick. Or...I don't know. I'll think of something. Maybe sushi? Unless you have a request?"
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"No requests," Summer said, with a softly eager smile and a gentle shake of her head. "Surprise me."
Surely, that wouldn't lead to any particularly distressing decisions to be made on his part!
Re: Talk to the Teachers [4/2]
"I'll find something," he promised. "After class with Amaya."
Not pizza. That didn't feel right. Not Cup Noodle™ either.
"And I'll see you at the gym." And her outfit which he was sure to enjoy seeing. He always did.
