It's Angela's last day opening the library until at least July.

Things like that can make a girl sentimental. She even brought in coffee and bagels.

Come. Study. Return overdue books before you get malletized.

Angela raised an eyebrow. "Friends. Okay."

Then, absently: "I was two years younger than my first boyfriend and I'm not scarred for life, or anything. I mean, if you're worried about that."

"A year and seven months," Cameron corrected and stuffed his hands in his pockets, it wasn't like he'd been mulling this over or anything.

"So that's basically nothing," Angela said. "Not that it matters if you're just friends. But still."

He scuffed at the floor and seemed very interested in his shoes. "What if hypothetically speaking she kissed me?"

"Well, I kissed you, maybe she was jealous," Angela joked, then dropped the act. "You mean this you, right? Not when you were seven?"

"Yes, this me!" Cameorn flailed at Angela because really. "Hypothetically speaking of course and I'm not sure if getting kissed by boy-you counts."

"Our kiss doesn't count? I'm so wounded," Angela said. "Except I don't count it either. So."

"And hypothetically? I would say she probably likes you, if she kissed you."

"Nope, now if it would have been regular you..." Cameron smirked. "You owe me 25 bucks."

"Maybe, but... we're friends." He sighed.

"But I made cupcakes," Angela protested. Then she dug in her pocket and came up with $25 slightly sticky dollars. "Here. Sorry if they feel funny, I think I tried to use them when I was little."

"It's weird how being friends makes everything harder. You don't want to mess that up? But sometimes you have to at least see what's there." And then it was Angela's turn to smirk. "You know. Hypothetically."

Sticky or not, it was money and Cameron gladly except it. "Thanks."

He sighed. "With my track record right now? I'd hypothetically screw up royally and lose it all."

"Hypothetically," Angela said slowly, feeling like she was talking to Rory, "Someone might point out that Vala was leaving school and Jaye clearly, and I love her, has other stuff that she's dealing with, and it might not have been you screwing up at all."

"Hypothetically," Cameron blinked because really this part wasn't hypothetical at all, "those are two relationships I walked away from. Yes, it takes two and it was a mutual decision but... maybe I need to take a hint."

Angela thought for a moment. "I don't know. Maybe you do. Maybe you just need to take a break from dating."

"But maybe you should be talking to Molly, and not to me. Hypothetically, and all."

"Yeah, it's on my hypothetical agenda," Cameron sighed and rubbed his forehead. "Thanks. Seeing as this is all hypothetical, I don't suppose you can keep this between the two of us?"

"I'm an expert on hypothetical relationships," Angela sighed. "Yeah, don't worry. And whatever way it goes with her? Good luck."

"Thanks," Cameron gave her a small smile. "Ugh, I suppose I should actually try to study some. How's Maths going?"

"I think Walter actually explained fractals so I could understand them," Angela said. "And if nothing else, we used plenty of glitter. The only other final I have left is my music class paper. What about you?"

"I just finished ACJ, I got History this afternoon, Self-Defense tomorrow and Music." Cameron sighed at the list.

"Yow," Angela said. "My sympathies. Though the music paper doesn't sound that bad."

"Let's hope so," Cameron said. "At least I think I got Self-Defense class under control." Yep, another smirk.

Angela grins at the smirk. It's easier to do that as a girl. "Want to use me as your final project? I'm sure someone was filming."

Cameron has the decency to look a bit sheepish for the first time. "I probably shouldn't have goaded you into that knowing you didn't have any experience."

"We were both being dumb," Angela said. "And I'm mostly healed up. You?"

"I'm fine," he winced in sympathy. "I'm kinda getting used to having a couple bruises thanks to self-defense class at least."
