It's Angela's last day opening the library until at least July.

Things like that can make a girl sentimental. She even brought in coffee and bagels.

Come. Study. Return overdue books before you get malletized.

Parker shook her head. "I wanted to be sure. Fandom, and all. Plus, Mountie. If it would be legal anywhere, you know it would turn out to be here." She cocked her head. "Junior names suck. You should name your first kid Clarence."

"Even if the no-license thing didn't invalidate it? We could file for an annulment," Angela said. "Because I am way too young to get married."

She considered it. "Nah, not Clarence. Or a junior. Maybe after my dad or Marcella." Then, embarassed, "Not like I think about this."

Parker grinned. "Not at all. And I'm glad that while I got to be a bridesmaid at your first wedding, it's not the only one you'll probably have to show in your wedding album." She looked more glum. "Damn, I wish Jarod had shrunk with the rest of us, though. I'd take a fake marriage problem over his real issues any day."

"If we ever get married for real, you can be a bridesmaid again," Angela promised. "Assuming we figure out the whole time travel thing, and all of that."

"What's wrong with Jarod?"

"I'll even throw you a bachelorette party. Heh. That would be cool." Parker shook her head. "Maybe you could split the difference and get married in 2001? And Jarod's just -- weirded out. I was four. He thought I was cute and innocent. Having me be old and totally non-innocent again is breaking his brain a little." She pouted. "Damnit."

"I'm only 22 in 2001," Angela pointed out. "But maybe. Or I could stay in this time and just get used to people telling me how young I look. That kind of wouldn't suck. Either way, we have to go to college and stuff first."

No, she hasn't thought about this. Really.

She shook her head, considering Parker's problem. "Poor Jarod. I hope he readjusts to you being 17 soon. Having a boyfriend who thinks of you as a kid can't be fun."

"True. It's a long ways away." Parker cocked her head. "It really is inconvenient that you're from ten years apart. But at least you can choose where to go. Rory and Anakin have it worse, I think." She grimaced. "If Jarod doesn't get over the teeny-me thing by this weekend, I'm taking drastic measures. I don't know what, yet, but they'll be drastic."

"Rory and Anakin are pretty much screwed," Angela said. "I mean, I won't lie -- he scares me sometimes. But I don't know if I could be in that relationship, knowing I would have to say goodbye for real someday."

She gave Parker an evil grin. "Somehow I trust you will come up with excellent drastic measures."

"I do find him scary-- that whole thing with fighting Angel gives me chills-- but I don't know." Her relationship with Jarod had an equal number of barriers to it, after all. "Maybe having a little time is enough for Rory. I hope so."

"And yes." A purely wicked smile in return. "Drastic being the best word for them."

"Maybe," Angela shrugged, the question of Rory and Anakin being beyond her. "Let me know how the drasticness works."
