Library [5/1]

This is the last day Parker's going to be opening the Library. She has really mixed feelings about that. Partly because she'd like to hide under the Circulations Counter after some of the things she did this weekend.

The Library is open for all your research and book-return needs, 'cause today is also the last day of amnesty before Zero and her mallet are on a quest tomorrow.

"I'm going with the theory we all suffered head trauma and it was a mass hallucination," Angela said gloomily. "Except I'm not sure how head trama would explain the coloring book I found in my bed this morning."

"Fish escaped?" Angela said. "That sucks. Has he ever run away before?"

"No, but I've never been wee before. He may not have realized I was me and went to find me. Er. That made sense in my head."

"It kind of did make sense," Angela said, grateful Min had been fairly indifferent to her wee self. "I dunno, maybe he would recognize you if you just walked around calling his name? Hopefully he couldn't fly to the mainland, or anything."

"Hope not. He's a Chinese bird. He doesn't know about America."

Angela rested her chin on one hand. "It seems to me that having a boyfriend with superpowers should help with this kinda thing, somehow," she said, idly. "Or is he your husband now?"

Zero moaned and buried her head in her hands. "It can't count. It can't possibly count. I was five."

"I hope it doesn't count," Angela said. "Mounties can't marry people, can they? It would be really embarassing to explain to my parents if I had to get an annulment."

"I talked to my brother on the phone last night. He promised to help me get an annulment before Mum found out. Of course, he also thought I was on acid."

"I think the only reason I didn't call my parents was because my phone was too high to reach," Angela said. "Which is a really good thing."

She grinned slightly. "So if your brother told her, which do you think would bug her more, the acid or the marriage? It would be a toss-up for mine."

"The acid," Zero said with feeling. "Definitely the acid. The marriage thing, meh. She'd be hacked she didn' get to meet the groom first, but she'd get over that. If she found out I did drugs, I'd be grounded for life."
