Library [5/1]

This is the last day Parker's going to be opening the Library. She has really mixed feelings about that. Partly because she'd like to hide under the Circulations Counter after some of the things she did this weekend.

The Library is open for all your research and book-return needs, 'cause today is also the last day of amnesty before Zero and her mallet are on a quest tomorrow.

After scrubbign her hair about ten times to get the dried cupcake batter out, ANgela is in the library.

She waves to Parker. "So did we all do a bunch of drugs, or were we five years old all weekend?"

"I was almost five, does that count?" Parker shook her head. "Hey, there are still cupcakes in the common room! We never got around to eating those."

"I know," Angela said. "I think I promised Cam a personal apology to go with the cupcakes, and I couldn't really write anything last night. Plus I was getting married." She made a face.

Parker started laughing at that memory. "Oh, God. At least I didn't do taht. You and Marty were so cute though. And sweet! The vows!" She put her head down on her arms as she continued to laugh.

It took Angela a moment, but she started to laugh too. "And he had to spray everything with 409 to kill the cooties!"

"I think everyone was pretty seriously cute. I can't believe Washburn and Freaser let Rory marry them, though."

"Talk about good sports. Especially when Quinn objected." Parker's giggling got louder. "And she didn't have the excuse of being five, like Xander did! Oh my god...." Its several minutes before she can speak again.

"I had fun." She shook her head. "I'm glad it wasn't scary at all, and God, I'm embarassed. But it was fun being little again."

Angela was laughing almost as hard as Parker. "It was fun, wasn't it? Probably more fun than when we actually were little, because no parents to make us do stuff."

She gigled. "You were so cute, lugging Esme everywhere. And I can't believe you got into a food fight with Anakin."

"Yeah, I think you're right. Poor Daisy, we owe him big. And my poor rabbit. Force-fed and power-hugged all weekend. She's still zonked out in her habitat."

Parker shook her hehad. "Me and Anakin-- it really is a good thing I don't have Jedi powers, or that would've been an even bigger mess than it was." She grinned. "And you cried on the radio because people were fighting! What a nice little girl you were."

"Anders was a total saint. Molly too. We should get them and Broots 'Best Babysitter' t-shirts or something for dealing with us," Angela said. "And yeah, I cried at everything until I was eight, practically. Drove my mom crazy."

She chuckled. "I don't even want to think about what you would have done to Anakin with Jedi powers."

"God, Broots. This is going to be hideous." Parker rubbed her face. "He should've pushed me in the duck pond. I was a complete brat to him." She started giggling again. "Cafe Fina wouldn't have been left intact. Although I'm glad his aim was a lot worse at nine than it is at eighteen. Funny how he ended up the big kid of our group."

Angela nodded. "I think he and Alex Krycek were the oldest. Jake and Rory were so little, so it was good they had somebody bigger around."

"It's gonna be harder to intimidate Broots now that he's seen you at four," she agreed. "Poor Parker. Did you talk to Jarod at all?"

Parker headdesked a couple times, but couldn't help a little hysterical laugh. "Yes. I left him several phone messages and then ran into him in town. I think he was in shock. Or just way too amused. He took me to lunch after you guys left Cafe Fina. I knew he was my 'very best friend'," she put quotemarks around the phrase, "but somehow, that did not translate to any of what grown-up Parker has been up to with Jarod this semester."

Angela raised an eyebrow. "I know, that whole aspect was weird. Like, I knew who everyone was, and I remembered prom and my birthday and stuff? But I was all worried when Callisto told me Angel had kissed her so they were married, 'cause Marty had kissed me during the radio broadcast and I wasn't sure I wanted to be married."

"I'm not sure if I knew anything except kissing existed."

"Callisto told teeny-me about sex. In detail." Parker rolled her eyes. "I was completely grossed out."

"I guess people would have protected kids less, back where Callisto is from," Angela said. "It must have been completely traumatizing to hear."

"She said her mom was a healer and then told me much more than either of us wanted to know. And yes, I was horrified." Parker reflexively shuddered, then laughed. "Angel managed to get marshmellow stuck in his mouth last night. That is a memory that I will *never* trade, no matter how much Callisto's explanation freaked me out."

Angela giggled. "Was he trying to drain the blood from a Peep, or something?" she asked. "Because I don't think that works."

Parker snickered. "I don't think they had marshmellows back when he was little the first time, so he had no idea how to eat it. I had to poke around in his mouth so he could swallow it."

That made Angela rest her face in her hands and giggle some more, picturing the scene.

"You realize this means you saved his life," she said, then reconsidered. "Well, kind of. I don't think vampires can choke to death, can they?"

"Doubt it, but he never would've said anything clearly again through the goop." Parker chortled. "He made me breakfast this morning. It's almost sad, I'd like to have talked to tiny Angel while I was the big one. Although not getting stuck with him for too long, the way Broots and Molly did."

Angela giggled some more, imaginging Angel mumbling for the rest of his life. "It would be pretty hard for him to terrify anyone if he awked ike ish," she said.

"Molly was such a good sport to marry Cam Mitchell like that. And she got us breakfast every day."

"Above and beyond the call. And Daisy let me hug him. Although I'm not sure he was making it any easier on himself, feeding us all that sugar." Parker snickered. "And I am soooo giving Camboy a hard time about that. He had the cutest crush on her."

"Uh-huh," Angela said speculatively. "Y'know, as much as I love Jaye and Blair? I'll be happy if they start dating now that they're single. Or "married," I guess."

"She's a little young for him--" Parker started laughing again. "But then again, that's all relative, isn't it?"

[and I'll be back in an hour or so-- field trip!]

"She just turned 15," Angela said. "He's 16 or 17, right? I have no idea when his birthday is. That's not that big a difference, it just seems like more 'cause she's a freshman." She shrugged. "My first boyfriend was two years older. Not like that relationship is a model or anything, but."
