If there was an opportunity to take advantage of decent weather while they still had it, Gladio was going to do so. It might be a little warm for some people (especially for October), but he'd always liked warm weather better, anyway. Easier to sweat, and therefor easier to know you've put in some good work, right? Either way, this meant the class was taking it out of the gym today and out onto the lawn, where he was ready with a ball in hand and two goals on either side marking the area and making it pretty clear that today was going to be a sport-focused day.

"Alright, guys," he started, "today, we're going to be learning about football, but not that football, the football that's known here as soccer but football nearly everywhere else, except here, because here, football is something different."

He flashed them a grin, shaking his head.

"Yeah, I don't get it, either. But the American football's a lot harder to pull off with such a small class, so we're leaning hard into this one, which makes more sense anyway, since the whole point is kicking the ball with your feet. And even though we're not going to clearly be playing a typical game, we're going to introduce you to the rules and how it's played and then just basically spend the rest of the time kicking, passing, tending goal, and maybe even a few neat tricks with the ball. So, let's get stretching, and then it's game on."

As you stretch and warm up and get ready for your physical activity, Gladio's explaining some of how to play the game, some of the history, some of the moves and other important things, such as juggling the ball in cool ways and just generally ways to be a better football/soccer player. And, of course, he's here for questions if you got 'em, unless they pertain to the name, he's not even going to touch that one.

Take some time to kick around the ball or try some of the juggling tricks, kick it between your fellow students, and take turns being goalie while your classmates try to score! It's all pretty open-ended, so as long as you're actually doing something and trying things out, Gladio'll be happy.

Nell found this rather difficult and was lucky she didn't trip over herself and break an ankle or something. Still, it was kind of fun.

As usual Nell hung around, this time sitting comfortably on the side of the field, till everyone else had left. Well, everyone except Gladio, that is.

And, as usual, once everyone except for Nell (and himself) had taken off at the end of class, Gladio gave the soccer ball a few little juggling kicks for a moment before popping it up good and high, catching it and tucking it against his side as he headed over to where Nell had sat, and went to go sit down next to her.

"Maybe we should start watching more football on Tuesdays," he offered, ball set aside and leaning back on his elbows as he grinned at Nell. "Maybe help bring out some hidden talent for it."

"This kind of football, not the one where men crash into each other with helmets, right?" Nell said with a smile. "We could do that. And how are you doing today?"

Was she thinking about her conversation with Liliana Tuesday? She'd hadn't thought of much but that. She hadn't been quite daring enough to ask Gladio to let Ignis leave on his own Tuesday, but she'd certainly considered it. ~~Well after the fact given how the thread went.~~

"What's wrong with the kind of football where men crash into each other with helmets?" Gladio asked with a laugh. "Sounds like a good time to me. But, yeah. I meant this one.

"And I'm good," he answered, pleased smile lingering a little, because how could he be anything else when he was sitting on the lawn with her just shooting the shit after class. "Pretty great, actually. How're you?"

Nell laughed. "Well, I wouldn't mind seeing you play football," she said with a smile. "But they spend too much time talking and waiting for me."

She leaned into him and rested her head on his shoulder. "At this moment, I think I'm pretty much perfect." What more could she want?

"A woman of action, huh?" Gladio asked, with a faint chuckle as he shifted, slightly, as subtly as possible, to help make Nell's position against him a little more comfortable. "I like that about you...Pretty much perfect, though? What's missing?"

"Mmmhmmm..." Nell said, snuggling in a bit more as he shifted. "I like to keep busy. Though I do enjoy my quiet times."

She tilted her head to look up at him. "Well... kissing. And perhaps a little more privacy."

Since anyone at all could walk by here.

"Mmm." Gladio hummed back thoughtfully, looking down to meet Nell's glance up at him, and there was no way he wouldn't be able to respond to that any other way than by leaning in to kiss her, at least a little bit, before suggesting, with a tilt of his head in the general direction of elsewhere, "Wanna go take a walk?"

"Yes," she said. "I think a walk in the woods would be wonderful."
