"My thanks to Jane and Raiden for taking over the team-building exercises while I was--" there was a long, awkward pause, "--indisposed."

"But I am myself again and eager to resume our activities!"

Even if said activities looked suspiciously like giant cat toys. Sometimes it was harder to shake off the transformations than others. "You will run in teams through this obstacle course--" of giant cat toys, "--and then get tuna for a reward."

He blinked, catching that part as being not quite correct.

"And then you shall receive no reward other than the satisfaction of a job well done!"

"And the tuna," Anakin said with great dignity.

"Uh huh," Jane replied like someone who knew better. "How many coffee mugs have you tried to bat off of a counter?"

"More than one," he said after a pause. "I caught most of them."

That was definitely why you'd trained in the Force, Anakin. To catch falling mugs.

"I was just very glad IKEA is so close," Jane admitted.

"Needed a lot of mugs?" he guessed, grinning.

"More than I'm comfortable admitting." It was like back when she first met Thor.

Anakin grinned harder. "I'm going to remember that."

Expect ridiculous mugs for major holidays now, Jane.

Only if they had physics puns on them.

"Why does that sound like a threat?"

"I think it might mean you've learned too much about me," Anakin admitted.

"So it was a threat," Jane said, laughing.

"A nice one?" Anakin tried.

"Uh huh," Jane replied, shaking her head. "But it's good to have you back. Even if I need to go find old yearbooks of this place in self defense."

"You really don't need to do that," Anakin said immediately, eyes going big.

"It's just a thought." It was happening. Oh, it was happening.

"It's not necessary," Anakin said.

Oh, you're protesting too much, Anakin.

Nooo, noo. Just the right amount.

"They'd be at the library, right?"

Sithspit.

"Maybe," Anakin said. "I've never looked."

"I'll let you know what I find," she promised.

"Maybe that one's been checked out."

Maybe he could beat her to the library?

Jane shot him a look like she was well aware of what he was planning here. "Then I'll just have to find other methods."

Anakin gave her what he thought was a very innocent smile. "Good luck."

Well that was insincere.
