Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday July 5th

It wasn't Anakin at the park this week, no. He was spending time with his family doing something that involved throwing peanuts at children as a tradition of some sort. Instead, you got a confused but still eager to help out Jane. And an obstacle course. With bungies. How was thar going to work in an open park? Stop thinking about it too hard, that's how.

"I promise I didn't get these shirts," she said immediately. ~~Even though the aesthetic was pretty on par with Love and Thunder.~~

It was important to get it out there.

"But I was given a list of names. How Anakin knew you'd be here... best not to think about it." Like, seriously. "Join your team when I call your name, okay?"

Maybe hungover from yesterday, maybe not.

Summer was here and the opposite of hungover thanks to spending her Fourth of July in a space spa, thank you. But she needed to see who earned free shots at the bar today, and was always grateful when she showed up and still managed to avoid javing her name called.

Which was great, because this one seemed entertaining as hell, and she was pretty sure none of the people who did get called were going to shove a baby at her.

Stark wasn't unhappy with today's shirt. Maybe he'd even wear it to the bar later. He thought someone there might appreciate all the pink involved. Possibly.

As a result he only rolled his eye at it a little before changing into it.

Jon grimaced at the shirt, but honestly, it could be worse. The other teams' looked like they'd been in fashion before he'd been born.

Graham was pretty stoked today, because not only was it his birthday, but there were shenanigans, he had a great shirt, and they literally had a Squishy today at T&C with his name on it! What more could a guy ask for?

Well, he may have been looking around a little while he tried to finish his Squishy before everything got started to spot a few specific people,because he was dying to know if a Graham Cracker Squishy actually did, in fact, taste like him.

Belle wasn't sure she enjoyed the shirt but it was certainly interesting to look at?

Was being on the same team as Steph enough to make up for the shirt? Vi hadn't decided yet.

Cara was not enjoying the shirt. If anything Cara was looking slightly betrayed.

Cara, Eleanor, Stark

Players are equipped with crossbows and velcro arrows. With the help of the bungie elastic, they will jump off a platform and fire the arrows at the targets in front of them for one minute. Only arrows that actually hit the bulls-eye count and they only count after the player has hit the ground first before bouncing back up.

Stark was hesitant to throw himself off a platform at first even though he was attached to the cord. Stark was also not good at archery, particularly while bouncing through the air.

He made an effort though and he even managed to hit the target at least once. It might have been accidental.

Kurt, Jon, Vi

50 baseballs have been attached to three walls and the players will jump off the platform and tried to knock as many baseballs as they can off the wall in 45 seconds wins.

RNG says the winner of this round is: Vi

Jon was not a fan. Granted, his experience with the Vast hadn't been quite as traumatising as some of the others, but vertigo was still not his friend.

Fortunately, he could close his eyes and just bat at the wall. He wouldn't win any prizes, but at least he got...look, he got a few of them, anyway.

Gray, Sam, Graham

Players jump off the platform and try to kick soccer balls into their own nets. The player with the most successful goals scored in 60 seconds is the winner.

It probably did not help Gray's team's chances of success in this event when he nodded off as soon as it started, huh?

Sam was not amused. Not by his shirt, not by having his name called, not by any of it.

"This is ridiculous," he bellowed, kicking furiously. "Soccer is positively unAmerican!"

Arthur, Libby, Steph

Players start in three corners and will bounce up and down constantly with the help of the elastics a dodgeballs pour out of an elevated tube. Players will attempt to catch a ball and hit one of their opponents with it. Players are allowed to catch a dodgeball thrown at them (though it would still count as a hit against that player) and use it against the player that threw it or against another player. The player who scores the most hits against their opponents in 60 seconds is the winner.

Belle, Raiden, Beta

Eight miniature mountain peaks have been laid out in the middle of the park, alternating between left and right. With the help of the elastics, players are to jump from the platform and go from one peak to another before reaching the opposite platform and returning in the same manner. Players are assessed a two-second penalty if any peaks were missed. The player with the fastest time wins!

Belle was tiny and not equipped for large jumps.

Raiden was going to run away with this so hard that it wasn't even funny, wasn't he?

Oh, Raiden had this in the bag. It was kind of like a training exercise Al or Laz might have come up with, only, you know, fun. And bouncy.

Who was also lost as to how the bungie stuff worked here. She was leaning toward magic, personally.

I think I got it all done correctly?
