Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday all day

Anakin was surrounded by rubber chickens and harmonicas. Completely normal Wednesday, right? There were also t-shirts, blindfolds, and two coconut brooms.

Anakin picked up his megaphone. "Today will be very different!" he proclaimed. "We will be playing two modified versions of tag. Everyone will be barefoot. All but two of you will be wearing rubber chickens on your feet."

Anakin held up the rubber chicken. It squeaked menacingly. "Half of you will also have harmonicas in your mouth. Your goal is to remain silent so that your blindfolded swatter can not discover you and hit you with their broom."

This seemed wholesome.

"Listen for your names!"

Man, will you have the best seats on the island today.

Oh, wow. As soon as Prompto caught sight of all those rubber chickens, he was thinking this was going to either be the greatest thrill ever for Noctra or the worst thing in the entire existence of her very short life.

Guess they'd find out!

But, either way, it was all about her just looking adorable and being shown off in a cute outfit. Last week? Watermelons! This week? Lemons! Complete with the most adorable little plush camera accessory ever, like how could he not???

Steven knew Llewellyn was participating today, so of course he was there to show his support.

And/or to oogle Llewellyn in a silly shirt. Which was supportive in its own way, really!

Team Scream, you also get harmonicas! Oh, joyous time for you!

Steph took one look at the shirt and immediately broke down into a several-minutes-long fit of snorting laughter.

Was she going to actually wear this one later? Yes, because it was amazing.

“Well,” Watts said, in the midst of peeling off several layers to put his own shirt on. “This sure is- something.”

He too was going to end up rewearing this at some point. For wildly different reasons than Steph, most likely.

"I absolutely love it," Steph said gleefully. "I've seen so many spins on The Scream but this one might be my favorite."

“Spins?” Watts echoed. He was reasonably certain what she meant just through context but wanted to be sure.

"Variations?" Steph tried. "Generally people redoing the painting but with, say, some pop culture character in it."

"Huh," Watts said, glancing down at his shirt thoughtfully. "And this is- a common practice?"

"Meep meep meep meep meep mee," Beaker said to himself, attaching rubber chickens to his feet. Wasn't this how everyone played tag?

"This is unacceptable!"

Sam. Sam, you were doomed and needed to accept it.

"Extremely undignified! The bear uses rubber chickens!"

"Meep meep mee!" Beaker said. He would accept no Fozzie slander, Sam! Fozzie was hilarious!

To someone!

Was Vi looking at the chicken with a very healthy degree of scepticism? Yes. Very much yes.

Why did Cara even risk leaving her apartment on Wednesdays. Why?

"He worries me," Stark said with a sigh as he switched shirts.

"Oh no," Beta mumbled. "Coming down here was a mistake."

"I almost regret asking for no pools now," Summer murmured with a shake of her head, taking a moment to examine her shirt before pulling it over her head.

"Oh...bother," Boc murmured miserably as his attempts to slink away as soon as he noticed he'd stumbled into another thing at the park, "not again...."

This was why he was a hermit and should stay a hermit. And he should really know better after that last time!

You are trying to avoid a Muppet Eagle wielding a broom and wearing a blindfold! You have rubber chickens on your feet, harmonicas in your mouths, and half of the park to run around in.

The RNG is useless for this, so tag in and then let chaos reign!

Sam was blindfolded. How did he get an American flag blindfold? Who could say.

Sam was also flailing about with his broom as he angrily stomped on his felt feet.

WATCH OUT, people!

Steve was trying to hold in an ill-timed attack of the giggles, but the entire set up was just too ridiculous. He went sneaking past Sam, breathed out too hard, and made the harmomica squeak, giving away his location.

Shoot.

Sam would feel very guilty about attacking CAPTAIN AMERICA.

Assuming he succeeded in shoving the broom in the right direction.

Steve flung himself to the ground and felt the broom whoosh over his head.

...and the hermonica went "Whonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng," in his mouth.

Watts had a long stride, surely he could easily move out of the way of a giant muppet eagle?

Except he made the mistake of inhaling a deep breath as he made that first step, and though he managed to hold it in for a few more steps, eventually he had to exhale. Heavily. Into the harmonica.

Watts could almost certainly outrun a muppet eagle. But Sam had the power of...patriotism on his side and would not be defeated by a Canadian!

He lunged, broom first, in the direction of that noise.

Libby was honestly pretty quiet on her chicken-feet, but the whole thing was so silly that she couldn't manage to hold back her giggling over the whole thing, which meant that harmonica was not her friend right now at all!

"This is extremely undignified," Sam grumbled in the direction of the giggling/harmonica playing. And then swung the broom ineffectively.

You are trying to avoid an ex-Navy SEAL who takes these games entirely too seriously! He has been armed with a broom and stymied with a blindfold. You have rubber chickens on your bare feet, and the other half of the park to run around in!

The RNG is useless for this, so wait for the tagger to tag in and then let chaos reign!

Steve's eyes might be covered but that only enhanced his other senses! Or something! He waved his broom above his head. "I'll give you a ten count to start moving, then I'm coming after you," he said.

Please let no one be filming this.

Blame the ridiculous Mord'Sith boots, but somehow Cara was remarkably adept at sneaking on rubber chickens.

Steve's head tilted as he listened for any noise coming from Cara's direction, broom at waist height as being used as a sweeper in front of him.

Stark could be quiet and sneaky.

Stark could not be quiet and sneaky when he had squeaky rubber chickens attached to his feet.

Steve's head whipped in his direction. "I hear you!"

Stark stopped but all that did was make him put all his weight on one chicken which let out a loud and long squeeeeeeeeak in protest.

Steve snickered. "This is the most ridiculous thing," he declared, sweeping his broom out.

Gray excelled at stealth. It was kind of his thing.

Of course, he didn't usually have rubber chickens on his feet, but he was doing his best to adapt here.

Steve was listening very carefully and started walking in the opposite direction of where Gray was.

Raiden, unlike his brother, did not excel at stealth. It was very much not his thing. He was six feet and seven inches of clumsy that walked like an elephant. He even breathed loudly, and it didn't help that he was trying very hard to hold back laughter at how ridiculous this whole thing was.

"I hear you," Steve said, snickering as he walked towards Raiden's location, broom waving oh-so-threateningly.

Guess who should not be allowed on Reddit.

At some point, Prompto had to go up to Anakin, Noctra in arms, her eyes big and wide and clearly wondering, even at a mere four months old, WTF she had just been exposed to.

"Soooooo," he ventured, "I might be just asking for divorce papers to sign after this, but I gotta ask: you got any of those rubber chickens to spare?"

"I have a few," Anakin said, smiling. "How many would you like?"

Prompto had only been hoping to get away with just one, but if he was offering...

"As many as you can give me."

Oh no. He was getting so many awesome/terrible ideas now....
