"If we may be so bold as to traipse into another's hollowed territory," Summer said, as class began that day, with a nod of deference over to Raiden ~~assuming he was there that week~~, "I would like to take a moment to discuss few pizza crimes of the last century."

“Summer,” Stark sighed. “Why?” Raiden, Stark was very sorry about this. Everyone else, Stark was still sorry but slightly less sorry in your directions than in Raiden’s.

"We're talking well beyond the great Pineapple debate, or pizzas without cheese or if Chicago deep dish is actually a casserole," Summer continued. "We're talking pizza with beans'--LOTTA beans this semester, apparently!--"and tuna and pear."

“Why is there a debate about pineapple? Pineapple is good. These two do not sound good.”

"Sounds can be misleading!" Summer chirped happily. "Don't knock it until you try it, right? Which we're going to do. Right now. Today. And, of course, discuss."

Because they had to put up the pretenses that there was some educational value to these classes and that they weren't just an excuse to torture people with weird ass food.

“If you have any better ideas for pizzas, please share them,” Stark said, giving the students a pleading look. “Or ways to make these two more…acceptable?”

Beans and pears and tuna on pizza! Why not?

Was this really what pizza was like in the mid-20th century? Take a moment to appreciate just how we've come along in just the past hundred years, not to mention even before that! The teachers would be happy to defer to the expert (presumably) in the room if he had any particular pizza-related tidbits of information to drop while you decide if you can live with yourself making a pizza with these ingredients on them.

"This pear and fish pizza really smells like something," Steve said, nose wrinkling up as he stirred the sauce.

The Tony Pony would not be getting leftovers.

"It smells," Ignis remarked, following up on that, "in a way that makes me very glad that I'm at the very least not subjected to also having to see it."

If there was ever anything to make him actually feel like his loss of sight was truly a blessing, actually...it was these classes.

"The color is not really recommending it either," Steve admitted. "And we still have to add walnuts?"

Maybe threaten to report them to island law enforcement for all of these food crimes.

Honestly? Summer was a little disappointed in herself for having only found the two recipes for today. Sure, sure, there were plenty of horrible pizza recipes out there, but upholding the integrity of the vintage aspect was very, very important to her.

The integrity of food crimes class was paramount!

"Not trying either one? I should have had breakfast before I came here."

"I feel like having breakfast before this class could also be incredibly dangerous," Summer noted, before adding, "I might try the bean one? Like, it's awful, but not nearly as offensive as it could be."

The pear and tuna, obviously, could just fuck off.

"Yesterday you were telling me I ought to eat more food," Stark pointed out. "And eating after seeing and smelling these isn't terribly appealing."

Geez, Stark, what were you trying to say? That Summer said or did things that were contradictory and confusing, or something?

"Yesterday," Summer countered, "what I said was that you needed to eat more...food than just ice cream."

Stark would never say such a thing! Obviously.

"I like ice cream," he said. "But I'll eat more than ice cream today. I promise. Just...not these pizzas. Would...would you want food that isn't these pizzas later?"

"I mean, we all like ice cream, Stark," Summer said, and then there might have been a slight, awkward shifting. "But I'm full up on classes for a bit today."

"Oh. Right." Stark nodded, trying to mask his disappointment.

"I...that's, that's fine. Maybe...another time? Or maybe ice cream another time?"

"Score yourself another double-headed victory like yesterday,c Summer offered, "and we definitely can."

"Anakin cheats," Stark pointed out. "I don't think he'll let it happen again. I'd hate to miss ice cream forever. You...have an ice cream planet you've been to, don't you?"

"If Anakin cheats," Summer countered, "then just cheat back. And I do have an ice cream planet I've been to! I can take you sometime...if you manage to eat some actual food beforehand."

"I can't cheat like he can!" Anakin had magic space powers, Summer!

"I'd love to go to an ice cream planet with you. I'll eat beforehand." Stark paused, hesitating. "Maybe even after?"

Stark was there and was really only an accessory to these crimes. Really.

I saw this and now the rest of you have to see it too.
