Dearest Ten,
I can't sit here in Fandom anymore and wait for you. If you get this, I'm going back to DC and staying with Carol for a while I think. From there I don't have a plan...no plan for perhaps the first time in my life. I hope one day I'll find you, but if I never do I want you to know that these were the best months of my life, and I'll miss you for the rest of my life.

John's smirk dissapeared. "I... I think I'm going to take a trip. A vacation, as it were, see some old friends. See if they've seen my mom. I can put in a word for your kids. And if you happen to see a certain former principal..."

"I'll find a way to let you know, John. Really. Your mom isn't one a person can easily miss. ~~Maybe she's involved in the Supernatural fandom liek whoa?~~ Where will you go first?"

"Well, I'm sure you have my e-mail and all that. I have a safe number you can call, that I check every couple of days. Maybe if, y'know, she'd bothered to give herself an out, maybe I wouldn't be so angsty and wondering why I've been ZOMG abandonded. She's like a queen-in-training of creatures that live under bridges or something. I've heard of a university upstate, or up North, not sure. I know that's where a few of my friends have gone. Rogue. 'Phale. Few others."

"I have no doubts you can do anything you set your mind to, John. Including picking up your feet when you walk. No sniper scuffles."

"Sniper Scuffles?"

"His feet, John. No sniper...or any good hunter for that matter...scuffles his feet as he makes his way through the world. Pick up your feet when you walk. Got me?"

"YEah. It's been a long time since I've been a hunter. Maybe that's my problem. I dunno. So when are you leaving?"

"Sunday. I'll load everything into my car on Saturday and Sunday I'll hit the road for DC. You, um...need a ride? North?"

"I, ah, I dunno, actually. Bit sudden. I kinda have a ride, but it's not like I want to take the whole way on a dirt bike, y'know?"

"I understand that. A Mustang is a better choice over a dirt bike any day." she shrugged. "The offer's there if you want it."

"I was thinking a truck. Nice, sturdy, room for a bike in the back. But I'll think about it. Let you know."
