Spider Jerusalem is not a nice man. Obsessed, neurotic, a little too fond of mind-altering substances and cyncial to the point of poisoning the very air around him, he is, nonetheless, extremely pissed off. Muttering dark obscenities that range from the state of the world today to the lack of discipline of children everywhere, he storms into the shooting range.

The weapon he produces is about the size and shape of a luncheon plate, a shiny silver with a dark blue grip and several interesting buttons.

Two shots later, there is nothing left of the dummies at the end of the range but smouldering heaps. Grinning maniacally, he pulls up another row of dummies and proceeds to amuse himself greatly.




((OOC: Spider will be here about an hour, cheerfully slicing things in half, quarters, lengthways and other fun mathematical ventures. Feel free to observe or interact if you're feeling masochistic.))

Your stance is logical. I have never enjoyed carrying a firearm, although I have found it to be necessary after a few close encounters. My life is one thing, but when you are responsible for others...

I have implanted my dummies' heads with several different species of blood. Dr. House was kind enough to offer me werewolf and human samples. I'll need to set up a few barriers to keep contamination to a minimum, and to eliminate other variables.

To be honest the blood is going to smell. And it will not be pleasant - your typical metallic odor, combined with the fact some of this blood is rancid. If you have had experiences in the past with similar aromas, this experiment could be upsetting for you. I appreciate your willingness thus far to indulge me, but this is purely for my own research into different species' resulting blood spatter. With any luck, it will never become helpful, but developing a database seemed... prudent.

"Information of any kind has its value." Spider put up his weapon for the moment and leaned against the edge of the counter. "The smell shouldn't bother me... and I'm happy to provide any forensic assistance you deem necessary and this thing has three settings you might want to explore. Plus, I'm just in the mood to blow shit up."

"Your mathematical knowledge would be of great help in my calculations, although I am sure my abilities are easily outmatched by yours. I have set up the first dummy. I'll let you have the honors. My only advice... aim for the head."

Grissom puts on a pair of goggles and an apron, and lays out similar equipment for Spider, if he deems it necessary.

Maniacal grin firmly back in place, Spider reset the weapon, levels it at the dummy, and fires. The top of the head is now completely separated, and both halves are smoking nicely. There is an interesting spatter pattern, as the weapon does not actually burn or cauterize unless set to do so.
