"Hello, students! Remember, next Tuesday is your final. Since it's been such a persistent metaphor this semester, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a question about the Tricycle of Justice."

"Thursday will be a review day. Bring any question you have about Justice and I'll answer it! But for today, you get off easy. Today we'll be watching one last episode off Crime & Punishment for the semester. This is the controversial episode where a party clown was found dead in the Mayor's kitchen pantry."

"This week's metaphor is the sun, while this week's extra credit is to bring is some snazzy, summery sunglasses."

Metaphor

The bright rays of the sun of Justice chase away the darkness of Injustice

Aeryn watches, and while she actually kind of likes the show, it's her first actual introductions to clowns. And she thinks they are weird.

Marty's Make up Essay

In the slumber party of society, there is only one weapon against the panty raiders of villainy. While some may say the Parental Figures of the Judicial system and the Time out/Groundings of the Penal systems ~~heh. heh. He said "penal". heh. heh.~~ play an important role in the slumber party society, it is truly the Pillow Fighters of Law Enforcement that can defend all the lingerie wearing teenage girls from being victims of a horrible crime.

And it goes on from there...

"Any ideas what the clown was doing there in the first place?" Callisto asked.

"The Mayor's son had a clown fetish," Marty answered. "Doink-Doink was trying to extort money from the guy."

Aeryn considers this, and says, "I'm really not sure I want to know..."

Angel frowned when he heard the assignment.

He raised his hand. "Um, sir?"

"So you thing the mayor's son hired Chung-Chung to do the deed?"

"You would think that," Marty replied. "But typically the show will do a little twist. In the end? My money is on the butler hiring chung-chung."

"I understand. To me clowns are just one step above mimes," Marty said with a nod. "They should all be punished."

She raises an eyebrow. "Mimes?"

"C'mon, just because the butler knows far more about this than he should doesn't mean he did it."

Callisto shuddered. "Evil things. Back home it's no crime to kill a mime."

"Yes, Angel?" Tick said.

"They're the white-faced scourge of society. Evil beyond comprehension," Marty said seriously. "They hang out at parks and silently mock you then ask for money."

"Are you metaphorically trying to kill me?"

"Are they human?"

"How else would he know so much?" Angel asked.

"He's the only one who has regular access to the pantry. Plus he's been practically a father to the kid with the Mayor being so neglectful of his family life."

"They are. They're like a cult," Marty said quietly. "If you ever see one I highly recommend punching it repeatedly."

"You could always use the sun as a negative metaphor if you'd like," Tick said. "It's just approaching the metaphor from a different direction."
