Today the class would be presented with a disgruntled and confused American at the front of the class.

"Hey." He waved at them. "Your teacher couldn't be here, so he decided to get me for some shocking reason." Because he'd thought he'd left that message for Hannibal. "Here's what I know about tea - you get a tea snob who hates bagged stuff, cut the bags open and put the leaves in water, and they'll never know the difference." It had worked with Seivarden, anyway.

"Look, I don't know. We sell the black stuff and a couple herbal kinds at the diner. Some people put milk or sugar or honey in it. What else were you talking about? Fill me in."

Sakaki put up her hand, very properly, before offering, "Last week, we talked about water."

Tahani was immersed in her phone messages. "It was deadly dull," she commented, not looking up.

"It's water," Miguel answered, deadpan. "Great solvent. Not much interesting on its own. Best if you add coffee to it."

"This is tea class," Tahani said witheringly.

"It's not my class," Miguel pointed out. "Unless you want to do science experiments with tea."

"Will those experiment results be on an exam later?" Tahani asked.

"How the shock should I know?" Miguel asked. "I don't even know why I'm here today."

"Thanks." Miguel shook his head. "Sure, why not?"

He's less of a mess than Jon?
