Jake shrugs. "Okay, teach." Skin starts covering his hand again. He turns to Mac: "This is boring, isn't it?"

Mac continues to stare at Gavin's hand.

Jake nods. "But at least she's not telling me to chop off my fingers, like some so-called friends of mine." He wriggles his fingers which are all present and accounted for at the moment.

Mac's eyes widen... then thinks about the rest of the strange things around her and decides that maybe this isn't the weirdest thing he's seen today.
