fandomhigh as usual for consistency, however, detention activites are occurring in town at the Town Hall.]

Lorelai is waiting in the foyer of the town hall promptly at 8am. She's looking longingly at the coffee and doughnuts spread that Luke thoughtfully provided while sipping her herbal tea and eating a banana.

She checks names off a clipboard as people arrive.

"Okay gang. This detention can be as easy or as hard as you make it," she says once everyone has arrived. "If you put a little effort in to getting the work done, you can be out of here in more than enough time to enjoy the prom. If you don't, well, you're only hurting yourself."

Lorelai tapes up a list of information that people might need.

[ETA: I turned off comment screening so that townies who have stuff for helping to set up the prom can poke in. That would probably be best under the Other Misc Decoration thread. Also, StuCo members and faculty who might have need of being involved in set up are more than welcome!]

The worry didn't totally leave his eyes yet. "Sure?"

"If I didn't I'd be pushing you into Logan's arms right now," Callisto said. "Which I'm not, just so there's no confusion."

A small smile touched his lips. "I suppose you've got a point there."

"Yes, I like you so much, I'm giving up a valuable opportunity for boykissy."

"Ooh, then you really do like me," Angel said, bumping their noses together.

He might've been a little clingy as he held her. It happens.

Which was perfectly all right with Callisto as she was quite possibly taking full adavantage of his not having to breathe thing with her hug.

Angel might've been showing off a little of that vamp strength as he hugged her back.

Vamp strength meant Callisto didn't have to worry as much about the potential for cracking ribs either.

Angel finally relaxed.

He didn't let go, but he relaxed.

"Thanks, Cal."

Callisto decided not to ruin the moment by asking what for. "You're welcome."

He gave her a kiss on the side of her head. "You're a good girlfriend."

Callisto nuzzled his neck. "You're a good boyfriend, just exasperating sometimes."

"Still better than Angelus, right?"

Amazing how you could thwap someone and not stop hugging them. "Considering he was irritating nearly all of the time?"

"I like to be sure," Angel said. He paused. "That was a yes, right?"

Again, it really was quite an astonishing feat. "Yes. Especially since I last time I looked Angelus wasn't my boyfriend."

"Good," Angel said. "Because I don't feel like sharing. Even with somebody who technically lives in my body."

"Okay, I really did not need the mental image of him watching us."

"Sorry."

Pause.

"He doesn't, by the way."

"Good, because creepy voyuer vibe, not condusive to the scrapbooking."

"I want all condusive, all the time today," Angel said. "I want this to be nice for you."

"You're sweet," Callisto kissed his cheek. "But this is Fandom, something's bound to happen. Five dollars says it's zombies again."

"Ten says rain monsters."

"Zombie rain monsters?"

"With gremlins. In tuxedoes and sequins."
