Intro to Fandom, Monday 11/14, First Period

Both teachers were in front of the class this week, as usual, but only one of them was the usual size.

“I don’t know that having a class today will be worthwhile,” Stark said, glancing over at his still tiny co-teacher. “But I suppose we can try.” He could at least try and keep any and all small children in one piece. And if he failed he was already heading to the clinic after this.

"We're going to do drawing!" Summer chimed in, proudly, holding up a sketchbook and a box of crayons. "And coloring! Because I'm one of the teachers," pause here for the admiration and awe due to her for such a revelation, "and I said so!"

“Because Summer said so,” Stark agreed. It wasn’t like he’d say no to her, tiny or not. “And she’s one of the teachers.” And because letting small children color probably wouldn’t end in disaster.

Things got cleaned here as if by magic. Stark wasn't going to stop him.

"Would you like some paper?" He offered. Just in case.

"No this is good."

"What are you making?" Stark asked. He was just going to sit here on the floor.

"A puppy," Travis said, pointing to a giant scribble. "And Stabby-Stan." A slightly smaller scribble. "And you!"

A tall skinny scribble that arched over the other two scribbles at the top of Travis's reach.

"Is the puppy Probie? Are you going to draw you too?" Stark asked. "Or should I?"

“Uhhhh, you do it.” Travis held up the crayon.

"If you like," Stark told him with a smile as he accepted the crayon. "Let me get some paper."

The resulting drawing of tiny Travis would eventually contain a poorly rendered but recognizable fire helmet and a puppy.

"Why you doin' it on paper?" Travis asked. The wall was right there, Stark.

"Then we can keep it," Stark said. "It's hard to keep a whole wall. I can't take a wall back home, can I?"

...this was going to lead to artwork on one of his apartment walls, wasn't it?

"Oh." Travis nodded. That made sense. "You gonna put it on the fidgderator?"

"I might," Stark told him. "There's room. Would you like to help with my picture?"

Travis leaned way over on his elbows to watch Stark draw. "No I think you can do it." He stuck his finger in his nose idly. "What's that?"

Pointing the nose-digging finger at part of the picture.

Stark used to share a room with Rygel. A little nose-picking wasn't going to phase him.

"There's you, in a fire hat," he said, pointing. "And there's Probie."

"My hat's on fire??"

"A firefighter hat," Stark explained. "Should Probie have a hat too?"

"Okay!" The finger went back into his nose. "You should be a fireman too."

"In the picture?" Stark asked. "I could draw me in a hat."
