Non-Deadly Heroics, Monday, Period Two

Today Isabela was sitting with her feet up on the desk, tossing candy into her mouth. "In honour of the day we're in costume as sexy criminals."

It should be noted that Aphra and Isabela were in fact wearing their normal clothes.

"And befcause we're sexy criminals, we're all going to watch a holo about sexy crime."

A different film about sexy criminals, since even Aphra didn't think she could get away with twice in one semester.

Sexy criminals doing sexy crime.

Graham got very excited when he heard they were watching a film about sext crime, pulling himself up and getting ready to declare how he'd already seen this one, only to discover...

"I haven't seen this one!"

Well, now he was even more excited.

(Although a little disappointed; he was really hoping to get to the point of being able to recite that other one practically from memory here pretty soon!)

Charlie had had a very active weekend with not a lot of sleep, so she might just end up dozing off midway through this.

Was that dozing deep enough that Charlie might not even notice Graham leaning in and not being even remotely as subtle as he thought he being in getting her attention?

"Psssst! Charlie! Hey, Chaaarlie, psssst!"

It was okay, if she was too sleepy, though. He was used to such calls to attention being entirely lost thanks to Gray. But it never hurt to try!

Charlie slammed straight up in her seat, feet on the floor, eyes struggling to open. "I'm up, I'm awake!" she said loudly. Perhaps very loudly.

Graham winced, shrinking back into his shoulders with a sharp breath through his teeth, passing a worried glance toward their teachers as if they'd actually care. But since they didn't seem to yet, he tried again.

"Charlie!" It was....mostly a whisper this time, at least! "Hey, Charlie! Over here! It's me! Graham!"

Charlie blinked owlishly and turned her head toward him. "Gra-ham," she drawled with a sleepy smile. "Hey there."

"Hey." Graham grinned back, giving Charlie a small wave of his hand. "I was going to ask you how your ritual went back home this weekend, but I think maybe I'd better hold off until after you've had a nap!" He chuckled. Quietly. "Or maybe some coffee, at least."

"Oooh, coffee! Do you have coffee?" She made a sad face. "You don't have coffee?"

She yawned and stretched. Movie? What movie. "The ritual was good, but I got like no sleep and I'm exhauseted."

"I don't have coffee," Graham confirmed, with a sad face mirroring her own.

But guess who would be sure to have coffee in one of his pockets for sure from this day henceforth!

"But that's good." The sadness didn't linger very long at all. "That it was good, I mean, not that you didn't get any sleep. I should let you get back to your nap, then. You can fill me in later! And I can fill you in if you miss any really good parts of the movie!"

"No, no," Charlie said through a yawn. "I should watch this You'll just have to poke me if I start to doze off. And then after class maybe I can get some coffee and tell you about my weekend."

Some of it anyway.

"Yeah?" The bright eagerness of Graham's smile pulled him up straight in his seat. "That'd be great! I mean, I'd love to hear all about it! How it went, getting your cousin through the Wood, getting to see your other cousin again, whether the Aunties gave you a hard time, whether or not there were any pies...!"

Charlie laughed. "You'll have to ask me after I have coffee. All my brain heard was Aunties and pie."

"Well, you caught the important part, at least, then," Graham noted fondly.

No, not the Aunties!

Charlie just snickered. "Pie on the brain."

"Yeah," Graham had absolutely no issues admitting to that one, his chuckle tapering into a wistful sigh, "and who can really blame me for that?"

Zounds, he could definitely go for some pie right now, and he rubbed his stomach, smacked his lips a little just thinking about that potential delicious future pie...

...he did have a pie in his cloak right now, of course, but that was only for a pie-mergency. You never knew when a good pie could come in handy!

Belle hadn't seen this film before and she did enjoy movies. Though she wasn't entirely sure how she ended up with so many lessons on sexy crime this term.

Sexy criminals not doing sexy crime...that you know of.
