Getting to Know Earth, Wednesday

Hannibal today was not dressed in a wool suit. He was actually dressed down, for him, in a button-up shirt and slacks, and he greeted everyone with a nod.

"I hope that you all had a good weekend, but I am aware that regardless of if you had visitors or not, it can be stressful. Fortunately, Earth offers a variety of ways to relax. Today we will be experiencing one of them.

He waved them through a portal, where they found themselves just outside a storefront.

"Welcome to Purrth. We are in Perth, Australia, so the local language is English. We have tickets to the cafe, and you can also purchase drinks and snacks. You'll have to remove your shoes and any bags, and please be mindful of the rest of the rules." He pointed them out as he slipped his shoes off and sanitized his hands. "Enjoy and relax."

Oh, yes. Libby definitely needed something like this right now. Everyone being so worried about her in Mr. Skywalker's class had been encouraging, too, but you had to admit, there was nothing quite like finding a sweet cat to cuddle up with with a little bit of a bite to eat of just really be the thing to make your melancholy go away for a little bit.

It was only a temporary distraction, sure, but it was doing the trick quite nicely for now.
