Das Schnitzel was back in the kitchen today. She looked as though she still was tiffed at the Chef. Maybe it's because of the "I heart Fettucini Alfredo" shirt the Chef was wearing.

So she kept her mouth shut and just smiled at the Chef and Das Schnitzel as she grabbed a bit of everything and headed over to the usual table.

She hadn't found the perfect dress for Walter yesterday when she went shopping with Veronica, but she'd found a few possibilities she'd be recommending to him. She didn't even want to think about what would be required for her getting a tuxedo.

Fortunately he hadn't chosen one of those. "When are we supposed to get this
dresspromhumiliationshopping over with?"no subject
As for the
dress humiliationprom shopping: "I don't know, but I don't have any classes this afternoon. Veronica ended up getting something last night, I think, we all went shopping. I found a couple dresses you might like."Yes, she is smiling a little evilly as she says that last bit.
"Oh, and I should make sure I buy tickets, too." And stop by Empire to see about getting another pay advance.

Whether Walter was wearing the dress on Saturday or not, he was old-fashioned enough not to have even considered that Nadia would pay for the tickets. "You don't have to do that, I picked up a pair of tickets yesterday."
no subject
Walter in a kilt . . . now that would be hot.
"How much do I owe you for the ticket?"

As for eating, he grabbed a piece of bacon and started chewing very slowly. "If I take two days to eat lunch and we run out of time for dress shopping, can I just wear one of my suits?"

"Right then, let's eat and get this over with. I heard the radio last night, so the whole island already knows I'm wearing a dress on Saturday." He eyed her suspiciously. "You didn't make money on the streets by sharking people with coin tosses did you?"
no subject
Nadia focused entirely on her plate. Mmm, breakfast for lunch.

A bed full of glitter would be terribly itchy, for instance.
"Hi, Pippi. Sure, have a seat."
no subject
"What's new and exciting?"
no subject
"For instance, Pippi, have you ever worn a Bitterwoman costume?"
no subject
"But that sound like a good idea for Haloween!"
*munch munch munch*

She wasn't flailing, though. No. No flailing.

"Right then. Dress shopping after food."
He turned his attention to Pippi. "What are your plans for prom, since it seems to be all anyone is talking about?"
no subject
"I have a ticket, but I don't have a date... Is it really that important?'
no subject

"Yes, come with us," he muttered at his waffles.
no subject
Like, a milliliter less.
"You can help me find a tux, too."

"I'm fine to go shopping after lunch. Then we can set up for the pool party after that."

Sure, if he repressed it enough it would all come spilling out messily later and be even harder to fix, but . . . she'd worry about that, later.
no subject
"We also have to stop by Cafe Fina to get the thing that makes layered food flat and warm." grinned Pippi.

[ooc: out to lunch, back in half an hour!]

Hm... "Are we going to eat at the restaurant before going to the prom? If we are, I should probably warn Alfred about... you know, the dress."
no subject
"If you want to, sure. I haven't been there since . . . well, you know."
no subject
"If it has bad associations, we can go somewhere else," he offered, looking concerned.
no subject
She looked up and gave Walter what she hoped was a reassuring look. "I'm not about to let him take away one of my favorite restaurants."
no subject
"I can just see Wadsworth's reaction..." Thee would be headdesking, if he was sitting at a table, but he wasn't headwaffling like Nadia had - he used too much syrup.
no subject
"So," she said, after taking a bite of her not-squished bacon. "What kind of dress do you want?"
The question could, really, be to either Walter or Pippi.

Really, he should stop pouting. He lost the coin flips mostly fair and square. "I'll have to let you two guide me."
no subject
She smiled. "And I have shoes you can borrow, as long as you get something that matches silver."

[ooc: oh lord, I dunno. I guess contact Molly and see if she minds us jumping onto that post?]
