Because that was the kind of class you were rolling into here, folks. That's what you had coming.

"So apparently the school has decided that we are the most qualified people to teach you about being sexy while doing crime," Cara said. "Which, I can hardly blame them for." And that was the closest she'd ever come to commenting on how disturbingly toned Jaskier was.

Hence why Jaskier positively beamed next to her. "Now, the crime portion can be a little... iffy. But we can certainly give advice on how to look good whilst doing things of dubious legality."

There. Their asses were covered.

"As you've hopefully figured out by now, the first week is all about introductions, and who are we to mess with tradition like that?" Yes, it was all about tradition and not wanting to come up with an extra class. "So, name, class, experience with crimes, sexy or otherwise."

"You can use euphemisms for the crimes if you feel better about it," Jaskier suggested. "But we're no snitches."

Though Cara reserved the right to smack sense into anyone doing something stupid. "None of us are, right?"

Be worried about being a snitch.

It's that wonderful time of the semester for it.

"Hi!" Graham grinned as he waved his hand in the air, a gesture he was, shockingly, not sick of yet, although he knew this would at least be his last time doing it...for this week, anyway. "I'm Graham. Graham Cr--"

Mid-word, though, his attention seemed to snap upwards, because, really, it was hard to think of so many of these in a week, and when life handed you ceiling cats, you used them. "Oooh! Ceiling cat!"

The cat, now having served its purpose, let out a meow, and disappeared back into the ceiling whence it came, and Graham's attention went back to the class.

"Anyway," he continued. "I'm Graham, I'm a sophomore, and I have absolutely no experience with crimes what so ever."

All of this was said in a very exaggerated, clearly fake way, but if that tone wasn't enough to convince you, he was adding in an incredibly obvious wink.

He actually didn't have any experience in crime except for a little bit of kleptomania here and there (which hardly even counted! As his father always told him, anything not nailed down was fair game, and if it was? Well, some of those nails were probably already loose anyway!), but it seemed much cooler, in the context, to pretend otherwise.

"We can work with that... where did it go?" Jaskier, please focus on the class!

"Probably back up into the ceiling," Graham reasoned.

But he was going to take several moments checking the multitude of endless pockets in his cloak to make sure it hadn't wound up in one of them.

"Ooh! Jelly beans!" He'd forgotten he had those! "Anyone want some?"

Speaking of focus on the class...

This was why Cara was the responsible adult of the teachers here.

"Of course!" Graham said, emphatically, grinning broadly as he held out the open bag (sadly not as mystifying deep as his pockets, but still a pretty substantial size!) for Jaskier to help himself. "What's the point of jelly beans if not for sharing?"

"Vi, I'm a junior, and I wouldn't know anything about crime."

Right this very moment, Vi was literally wearing a shirt she'd stolen off Steph.

"Too much emphasis on the anything, but marks for effort!" Jaskier replied.

Now that he knew he had them, Graham grinned as he held out his bag of jelly beans toward her, jostling them temptingly in his hand.

"Vi?" he asked. "Jelly beans? One person who doesn't know anything about crime to another?"

Far be it for Vi to turn free snacks down.

"Thanks, Graham," she said, reaching across and into the bag.

"Well, who amongst us doesn't have a fake ID, honestly," Tahani sniffed.

Belle wasn't sure how she'd ended up in this class but she was going to make the best of it.

"I'm Belle, a senior now, and I've certainly never knowingly committed any crimes!"

Yet?
