Beginning Sith Philosophy, Friday

"We're almost there," Lana said, grinning. "We've made it through most of the lines of the code. Now we have one that I've been alluding to for a while whenever someone pointed out the dangers of taking an initial line too far."

On the board was written: Through victory, my chains are broken.

"I do still want to take each line on its own first, but this is one that I think too many Sith fail on. Becoming a slave to your own emotions or passion is contrary to the point just as much as being a slave to a person. This line is as much, if not more, about breaking free of expectations and limitations as it is being your own master.

"So, how does this one resonate, and what do you think of it?"

"I think the greatest type of freedom for anyone is the freedom to think and feel however they want," Connor said slowly as he thought about that question. "To not have to bend their thoughts, feelings, or beliefs to meet some oppressing point of view from some outside source."

"Being an actual slave is not at all like being too weak to control your own emotions," Anakin said.
