The games were set up in the park today, which was a good thing, and there weren't even piles of ugly t-shirts today: another good thing!

There were very ugly socks instead.

And baby pools filled with...well, let's just call it water and not ruin the surprises. People who had been around for previous summers probably already remembered what happened with socks.

"Today you will be working in small groups to keep these pools up over your heads as you lie on the ground," Anakin explained. "Once you are settled in place with the pools, you must then go in a circle and each remove one sock from your feet without dumping the pool contents onto yourselves. And then go around again."

That was a rather mean smile, Anakin. "No powers. Listen for your names."

Even the RNG knows that this is Beaker's fault in the first round but kudos for keeping it up so long with such leg disparity going on! You're in last place and your pool is full of green slime.

Third place, Gray drops it in the second round, and your pool is full of Sprite.

Mmm, sticky.

Congratulations, Magical Unicorns, you win! You put down your pool successfully, which is good because it was filled with cold coffee.

Those were some Choices he made today, yes.

First they got free shirts and now they got sweet socks? What a gift.

Unfortunately that pudding would not be coming out of his cool shrimp socks.

After an extra days bed rest, Vi was feeling a lot more like herself, just in time to end up on the same team as Steph.

Eddie had seriously only shown up to make sure no one got heatstroke or a sunburn that needed medical treatment. Because they were in that part of summer here.

"Of course I get called."

Well, at least he was prepared for it.

"Trade you socks." The shrimp were better than the unicorn hair.

"This... shouldn't be too hard." Said the guy who did ridiculous training throught his life.

"Well, these are hideous," Steve said, pulling on some chicken socks.

"Absolutely not," Buck said. "Mine have a pun."

"And you can't resist a pun." Damn it, Buck.

"Meep meep meep meep meep," Beaker muttered to himself as he pulled on socks that looked like thigh-highs on him.

Sexy, sexy, thigh high steak socks.

"Meep meep meep mee?" Beaker said, laying down and pushing his short Muppety legs up into the ari.

"Obviously you can't either if you want to trade." It couldn't possibly be because Eddie hated his own socks. They were so cool!

"Sure, we'll go with that," Eddie replied with a very serious nod. "And not wanting to look like I'm one of those guys who watch a pony show."

Eddie Diaz: closet brony.

This was the last thing that Liz felt like doing but she was tired of ~~crying~~ moping back at the apartment.

She also hadn’t slept the last few days and she felt terrible, she just really hoped that she wasn’t going to start crying in the middle of shenanigans.
