ADVANCED THEORY: Origins

You should all have partners by now. One person from each pair/triplet will need to come to my desk and write your name and the name of your partner(s) on this paper. As you do so, you will be assigned an ancient society of this dimension to research and present at least three important impacts they had on mathematics today. This will be due next week, and graded. You get the entire day to research.

That's certainly what I spent last Saturday working on - this class and Secondary Maths and Geology and Classics, as well as reading some of the work of the author's the professor mentioned in English. And now I've signed up for Greek and Roman Archaology, as well. And drawing, if the professor ever shows up for class.

This time last week I had half the amount of classes - Secondary Math, Origin, Lifestyle and Intro to Business. Since then I've joined up for Music/Band Practice, Criminology and Criminal Justice. Plus the school newspaper (and Junior Achievers which I'm now regretting), so if ever I needed an excuse to stay busy (or away from my mother), I've got one.

I've only joined the science club so far - I thought there was going to be a dancing club and I was so looking forward to learning to waltz! But there hasn't been any further mention of it . . .

I was never that great at science...no where near my math level at least. Dancing club...intriguing. If they ever opened a detective/private eye club...I'd so be vying for president!

A detective . . . detects things? Finds things out? Like a Bow Street Runner? Women are allowed to do that?

Oh uhh *thinks of another word* investigates into matters. Looks into things. Sort of like a police officer, only privatised.

Investigates things. Like a magistrate! Oh. What a different time this is!

Sort of. An investigator does the work, the magistrate prosecutes. But you've got the right idea.
