Sam was standing in the front of the room, her hands in the pockets of her jeans. "Um, hey, guys. So, Mac isn't back yet." She shrugged. "So, you're stuck with me for at least one more class. So sorry, please send any complaints to the administration."

She adjusted a few dials on the equipment, setting up the familiar junkyard. "So, today's project--use the materials you find here to make something that will make it easier for you to study for finals, or that you will give someone else to make it easier for them to study."

Then again, perhaps the holographic baby purple dinosaur did not hold the secrets to the universe. Perhaps it had been the conifers that did, and she had missed her chance.
