Library - Friday

Jo was rather late in opening up the library for her first shift back after being on holidays since she had two classes on Friday. She was trying not to think about the fact that she had to take PE this semester as she busied herself with reshelving some books. She was also trying not to think about the fact that she had cried in both of her classes

She was also keeping an eye out for some books that she knew had movie adaptations so she could be better prepared for her literature class this semester and be able to see some more modern movies and she had already found a couple of options that she could borrow once she was finished with her shift.

Kurt walked into the library and looked around for a moment, and smiled when he spotted the service desk.

"Good day" he said with a friendly smile. "Jo, isn't it?"

He felt like he should add- from class or something- but he figured most people would be hard pressed not to remember their classmate who was, ya know, a blue, weird looking mutant.

Even though she had been at Fandom for a semester and had had Sidon for a class, she still couldn’t help but stare for a bit and realised she was being rude.

“I…it’s Jo,” she stammered, managing a small smile and thankfully didn’t start crying again, she tilted her head a bit, “you’re name’s Kurt isn’t it?”

"Aye, that's right" he said with a grin, then realized he might be making her uncomfortable with a such a toothy grin and gave her a small smile. "I wanted to stop by and look for some books for our literature class to give myself a bit of a head start. Would you happen to have any recommendations?"

The smile took a bit of getting used to but Jo returned it, “that’s what I’ve been trying to do as well,” she told him shyly, “I don’t know a lot of lot of modern works,” she admitted, “the meta for Wizard of Oz is really the only one I really know,” she admitted, “I did find this book series called meta for the hunger games and a book called meta for the martian?” she offered, “apparently the movies are fairly well received as well,”

"Will have to take a look around and see what I can find" Kurt said after a moment's thought. "I admittedly don't know many stories outside of the German stories i grew up with... and even some of those like the fairy tales and all are different than what is told over here."

“I can direct you towards a particular genre if that will help?” she offered, then paused, “I mean…that’s providing the genres are where they’re supposed to be this week,”

"Something is bound to be better than nothing right?" Kurt reasoned with a slight shrug. "At the least it shows we are taking the class seriously enough to try. Right?"

"Of course," Jo said with a small smile, "taking my studies seriously is kind of a new thing I've been trying after it didn't go so well at my old school and Mr. Sims is a really nice teacher as well," she said shyly, "I did quite enjoy his class last semester,"
