Anakin was showing a film! Well, part of a film. A tiny part of a film.
A film with singing.
"Right, this example is set in France a long time ago," Anakin said, turning off the movie as the man sang about stealing a loaf of bread, "and the man whole stole the bread eventually turned his entire life around after escaping from prison but the police officer chasing him could never square the idea that a thief could change."
He leaned back against his desk. "So, what do you think? Is there ever an excuse for stealing? Can people who do illegal things be rehabilitated?"

“Um…” she was conflicted because she knew that stealing was bad because she’d ended up being expelled for it, she turned bright red, “er …I hope someone can be rehabilitated,” she finally said, revealing more than she intended to but she didn’t know how else she could answer the question.
