Commencement speeches. You've done 100 words. Barbossa, brilliant. Ok, so now let's put that aside and decide on the message. You have your details, but what do you want your audience to know?

301--3rd period

It's time to get really interpersonal. I want you to go out this weekend, yes, I realize it's a holiday, and I want you to talk to someone. Write me a report of your conversation of the communication process. You've done this before, but now you know more. Questions?

She looked at him for a minute. "What are you going to do for me, Belthazor? Reciprocity rules the world."

"Lindsey told me something yesterday. I have this new interest, see..." she said with a sly smile.

"T'be sure," Barbossa said. "They be students who be bored, parents who be bored, and faculty...who be bored. The speech be needin' t' be interestin', it be needin' t' be funny, and it be needin' t' be short."

"Ye'd be needin' gold," Barbossa said. "Or rum, or a threat o' violence. Pirates be not much fer speechifying, generally."

Phoebe sighed softly. "I've learned so much that it's difficult to keep it to 100 words." She looked at CJ. "Do you think it'd be possible to fit in an extra tutoring session next week?"

"Isabel. In your time here...what has surprised you the most?"

"Well it's not the existance of aliens," she laughed. "But seriously? I'm not sure. This whole place is such a mass of unbelievable surprises...I never thought I'd call a vampire or a demon a friend, never thtought I'd have to fend off a muppet chicken, or wind up sleeping through a snow monster attack. There's a lot to choose from."

Isabel thought back to the welcome party the day she arrived. "Having Lockheed greet them would probably be a start. Nothing says different like a small purple dragon."
