BWI Airport Portalocity Lounge, Saturday morning
Kiem had no idea where he was. Well, he sort knew, he was in the Portalocity Lounge, waiting for a shuttle to take him to his new school, which seemed to be as far away as the Emperor had been able to send him.
It could be worse, he supposed. He tried to hold on to that thought.
A large, glittery sign said FANDOM HIGH. It was hard to miss. Kiem sat down on a seat next to him and let the hoverchest that had floated next to him lower on to the floor.
He looked at his wristband. There was no connection, just some stored data available. We wasn't even going to be able to check the dartcar results.
[Newbie shuttle! After some OCD that is now up]

Re: Wait for the Shuttle
"Name's Gladio, by the way," he offered next, something a little more difficult to hand back or refuse. "So there goes your no taking potions from complete strangers excuse."

Re: Wait for the Shuttle
To his credit, Gladio had only been there for certain events in the past, when the glitter was usually in full swing.
"But it's for some boarding school," he offered more helpfully. "Fandom High. I'm on my way there to teach. With some friends."
He was back to eying Jon...and his wounds...a little closer now, though.
"Your turn," he said. "What's all," he nodded at Jon's...everything right now, "this about? It's very...well, you know."
It was (presumably!) his blood, after all.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
"I...um. The- the end of the apocalypse?" He hoped. He hoped the world was back to rights. He hoped that Martin was still alive. He tried not to fall to pieces. Fortunately(?) he had experience at that.
"I just found myself here." He'd felt a bit of a pull, but that wasn't the sort of thing he was going to say to this so far nice but much larger than him man.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
"Sounds tough, man," he concluded. "Apocalypse, huh? That's...well..."
Not something he'd have to deal with until next year.
"Might've just gotten yourself an upgrade."
Which still probably didn't help much...
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
"It wasn't exactly ideal, no. Can I ask- that is, I don't really know where I am."
United States, Maryland, Baltimore airport, he suddenly Knew. Ah. So there was still that, then. Lovely.
Re: Wait for the Shuttle
And it was enough like Eos that you might not even notice until you got an eyeful of the night sky without having to watch your back.
He was really looking forward to that.

Re: Wait for the Shuttle
He scoffed sort of a laugh and shook his head. "Technically speaking," he said, "yeah. Sorry for the lack of green skin."

If you looked past the whole Starscourge thing, which was...pretty significant, really, but this guy seemed to have more than enough going on right now to bother with getting mired in details.
