Advanced Criminal Justice, Class 26, Period 1, 04.13.06

[OOC: And once again, I interact little. But there's a good reason for it this time! I'm here, Obi-Wan's here, we're all here, let's party. Class Info Post.]

The Tick was sitting behind his desk with a smile on his face. Even Lockheed seemed slightly interested in what was going on today. "Hello, students! Sorry I wasn't here on Tuesday. I was fighting that most fearsome of all foes, the Uncommon Cold! Thank you, Rory, for covering for me at the last minute."

"Today, we have a special guest lecturer who is here to tell us about another view of Justice that we've had some exposure to. Please welcome Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi!"

Obi-Wan leans forward a little. "Can you explain that? Do you mean you form a ball of energy itself, or that you can tap into the energy to move regular objects?"

"Oh, a telekinesis ball is um... a wireframe sphere, that expands. It has sensors that respond to mental commands. It's a learning toy, basically," Bridge explains.

"How fascinating! It sounds a little like some of the learning toys we have for the younglings at the Temple. Are the sensors so that anybody can use it, or is telekinesis a particular gift for you?"

"Yeah, Anakin gave me one of those sand-toy things. It's pretty neat." Bridge says. "And anyone can learn telekinesis with practice, really. At least, that's how it is where I come from. My, um, 'gift' is something else entirely, really."

"If I may ask, does that mean you're not from here, either?" Obi-Wan smiled apologetically. "Anakin spends most of messages home not telling me things, so I'm afraid there's a lot I still don't know about what's 'normal' for this planet."

"Near as I can figure, I'm from an alternate future, about fifteen years from now." Bridge says. "At this point in my history, we've also had space travel for nearly a decade. Which isn't true here, so it makes sense that there would be other differences as well."

Alternate future? The concept was astonishing. "Amazing," Obi-Wan murmured.

"Trying to think about it too much gives me a headache, sometimes." Bridge admits with a laugh.
