The Tick was sitting behind his desk with a smile on his face. Even Lockheed seemed slightly interested in what was going on today. "Hello, students! Sorry I wasn't here on Tuesday. I was fighting that most fearsome of all foes, the Uncommon Cold! Thank you, Rory, for covering for me at the last minute."

"Today, we have a special guest lecturer who is here to tell us about another view of Justice that we've had some exposure to. Please welcome Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi!"

Rory was there, with enough pastries from J, GOB to feed the whole class.

And she didn't look nervous, really. At all. Nope.

Anakin reached out and floated a donut across the room--he had been sure not to sit too close to Rory today--with a small smile.

Then he turned his attention back to watching Obi-Wan.

Callisto sneakily sneaked Rory a note.

He said he'd do it.

Rory frowned, and then grinned.

YAY. MINE DID TOO.

And the pirate said he'd help advertise.

I'll talk to V or Chloe or someone, make sure it gets covered for the paper. How did you get him to agree?

Pouting, appeals to his better nature, threats of no scrapbooking.

I had a bellydancer costume on loan from Parker. Barely took any effort.

Why is it that they can't be that ~~easy~~ smart all the time?

Because then they wouldn't need us around to think for them. And left to their own devices? We've seen what happens.

Broken wrists and sucking chest wounds?

Yes, handholding and boykissy is definitely preferable to that.

Oh, we're making them hold hands, too?

Have I ever told you how much I like teh way you think?

I would even say cuddling might be a nice option.

Oh, and we have to make them actually say they're sorry, too.

...or possibly sing it.

With musical accompaniment?

Obi-Wan smiled at her, recognizing Anakin's young friend who had interviewed him the last time he was here. He was a little surprised that she didn't seem to have any questions for him, but then perhaps being friends with Anakin she already knew quite a bit about the Jedi.

Rory returned the smile. "Hello, Master Kenobi. It's nice to see you again," she said, amazed that her voice actually sounded normal. "Would you like a pastry, sir?" She indicated the box.

"Nice to see you again too, Rory," he said. He looked at the many items in the box, and since he couldn't tell them apart, simply chose something at random and floated it over to himself. "Thank you!"

"You're very welcome," Rory said. "Did you have a good trip?"

"Uneventful. Long, but no worse than that, and time is easily passed in meditation."

"How goes your work for the paper?"

"It goes," Rory smiled. "I've been a bit busy with looking into things for my education after I leave Fandom, and family commitments. But I did manage to get an article in last week about some other visitors who came to town. We're still not entirely certain who they were."

He nodded. "You never know what changes the future may bring, but it doesn't hurt to have a few ideas. What are you thinking of?"

Obi-Wan leaned forward a bit. "Strange visitors? How very mysterious. What did you find out?"

"I'm going to Harvard in a year - um, that's a huge, very...elite school, here," Rory supplied. "And I'm planning on becoming an overseas correspondant. Part of why I'm so deeply entrenched in journalism already."

She smiled. "All I really know about our visitors is that one of them was very fond of leather, and another was a rather frightening old school friend of one of my professors. They all seemed a bit, um, unsavory, though."
