Anakin was back in his accustomed spot in the center of the park, surrounded by piles of t-shirts and something that looked slightly like water pistols.

Judging by the many colors Beaker was splashed in, they weren't just water pistols.

There was also an extensive obstacle course set up throughout the park, complete with pits, snare traps, sniper nests, and bunkers.

Had he blatantly stolen all of the best ideas from a summer of paintball classes?

Yes. Yes, he had.

In the center of the obstacle course was a flagpole with a blue and yellow gremlin flag flying high.

"For our final meeting," he began, "we will be working in teams to capture that flag! Navigate the obstacle course while your competitors shoot at you with these--" he lifted up a water gun, "--vintage 1980s disappearing ink guns!"

Judging by Beaker, that ink didn't disappear that fast.

"Meep meep meep meep!"

Anakin glanced down. "Oh. Well. Using these vintage water guns that have been filled with printer ink!"

So, the most expensive ammunition on the planet.

"Listen for your names!"

Summer had a soda and pretzel and a seat as a spectator with her name on it (although not, like, literally, technically the Summer Shenaningans had her name on it, if you wanted to be technical, but whatever, she digressed), and was trying to decide if she was glad to just be watching this one or a little disappointed to not be participating.

Because shooting stuff sounded pretty good right now.

Adora...had not had the best of night's sleep, but she was sure she'd be able to fit in a quick nap while everyone was doing whatever Anakin had planned.

Are your shirts the cheap kind that will get soaked immediately? Of course! Your water guns have blue ink if you're Team Blue, yellow ink if you're Team Yellow, and green ink if you're Team White.

Anakin liked to keep it unexpected.

Had Stark hoped for a brief moment that he might be spared this week? Yes, but it had been a very faint hope. Very faint and very quickly dashed. At least this would distract him from whatever it was that had been nudging at the edge of his awareness since yesterday.

"He couldn't just wait for paintball?"

"Do you know how hard it is to get ink out of feathers?" Sam protested, glaring at Beaker. This was obviously Beaker's fault.

"Someone might get ideas about turning me into quills!"

Hannibal sighed, but pulled the t-shirt on. Better it than any of his clothes. At least he'd worn (designer, tailored) jeans today.

Maybe he could use Sidon as cover while shooting.

Steve, secret exhibitionist that he was, whipped off the shirt he'd come to the park wearing and replaced it with his bright yellow monstrosity. A good workout would help distract him from the weird dreams of the last few days, right?

Oh, of course, Prompto. You're right, Prompto. It's the last one of these activities of the summer, it would be foolish of us to miss it, I would be glad to join you in these shenanigans, how bad could it be, really?

And as Ignis discovered how bad it could be, he was sighing mostly at himself, although certainly giving withering looks across the field over toward the whole reason he was in this mess, taking comfort in the fact that at least these T-shirts did prevent any undue damage coming his own shirts.

But he said he would participate, and he was a man of his word...

Alara changed into her shirt and stared at the water gun rather doubtfully.

She was pretty sure there was a reasonable chance she was going to end up breaking it.

Well this was one way to end the summer shenanigans. Dwight glared at Anakin though, who had seemed to conveniently forget that SHIRT SIZE MATTERS for the final event. With a sigh, Dwight struggled into the size too small shirt.

Ohhhh, man! Could Prompto have seriously asked for a better activity for the last one? And, despite the fact that Ignis was trying to turn him to ice with his glaring alone, he couldn't help grinning eagerly from ear to ear as he grabbed a shirt and a gun and got ready to crush it!

....boy, was he going to feel kind of embarrassed if he did poorly, though, especially considering shooting was supposed to kind of be his jam!

Harry donned his shirt, knowing that at some point, he was going to end up wearing it in a common room under a hoodie.

Travis donned his shirt without argument and was now looking at his water gun.

"Is yellow ink even going to show up on the blue team?"

Belle had never used a water gun before, unsurprisingly. What a way to learn!

After putting on her quite ridiculous yellow shirt (at least she liked yellow) she picked up her gun to examine it. It seemed simple enough. Point, and squeeze the trigger, and hope for the best!

Then came running back for her water pistol.

What Rey was realizing was that next summer she needed to go with darker neutrals, because she'd absolutely be doing laundry later.

But for now, the shirt would protect half of her. (No it wouldn't.)

Astrid, once she'd gotten her shirt and pulled it on, considered the gun and how, in a way, if she just sort of imagined it to be a spray paint gun....she might be able to get some interesting work out of this. And with that, and the promised distraction from the dreams she'd been having not leaving her last night either, she was looking forward to some living art, so to speak.

Sidon certainly didn't want to miss the last one of the activities of the summer, and he was exceptionally pleased to discover that it did not involve any inflatables that he and his claws should have to worry about!

The gun did look comically small in his hand, though, but he was rather excited to get this started, flashing a grin to his teammates, who he hopes would realize that having the Zora Prince on your team meant you had an excellent live shield!

(He really did sort of weigh a lot of these activities in his favor just by existing, didn't he?)

"Oh, I got this one!" said Troy, with all the confidence of a man who had made it to his highest ranking in paintball yet last week (the prestigious and clearly upward trajector-ing third place!), which clearly boded well for today's activity, as he shucked off his t-shirt to (slowly) switch it out with his new one and then give a look around at his competition, ready to hit anyone with the Forest Whittaker eye for intimidation at the drop of a hat.

Sure, some of you have military backgrounds and might try to come up with a strategy in the previous thread but let's be real, this is mostly about shooting people with ink. Anakin has also armed some gremlins because sure, that'll end well for everyone.

Alexis didn't have training or anything, but she was surprisingly athletic and loved this stuff and she'd worn appropriate shoes!

"Come on, team, we- ahhhh!"

And that was how she figured out the gremlins were armed.

Lana could play the regular game. Or she could take out the one responsible. Historically, that had a higher level of success than endless ground war.

Hiding her presence in the Force as well as she could, Lana snuck up until she was sure of her shot...
