Try Not To Die, Thursday

They would not find their usual teachers at the front of the class today. Though most of them would probably recognize one of the two small children. The busier one.

"Bantha, sit down."

Sometimes being the non-fun parent helped.

"Hello, class," Ender said. "I'm Andrew Skywalker, Ben's husband, and these are our children, Val and Nat." Sorry, Bantha. But you were getting the formal introduction from this one. "Anakin isn't here and Ben came down with the flu, so I'm afraid you'll be dealing with us for the day."

Probably don't be afraid. Ender was the least sadistic option, here.

"Unfortunately, that also means I'm left dealing with my kids, so we'll be going somewhere a little more suitable for them." He gestured towards the portal. "Welcome to Legoland in Billund, Denmark."

Naturally, Sakaki was immediately drawn to the tiny Lego replica, because it was tiny and cute and she loved it a lot, it was so adorable and tiny!! And also really well made, it was difficult not to enviously appreciate the craftsmanship there while being completely dismayed over the fact that she could never make anything this cute or well-done, and she kept getting so caught up in the workmanship and just all the adorable little details that sort of made her squee inside that she may have sort of forgotten she was actually supposed to be looking for something specific, and then getting sad that they'd have to move onto something else eventually, too.

But maybe those other things would be just as cute? She hunkered down, finally, to find that brick so she could maybe move on to even cuter things!
