One of the benefits of not living on this island most of the time was getting to only hear about certain events like late night fire drills and being able to be slightly smug about having been able to avoid them, an attitude that was definitely going to color Ignis's lesson for that day.

"Good morning, everyone," he greeted the class with a nod and a slightly hidden smirk. "Hopefully, you've all managed to rest up a bit after yesterday morning's very early excitement. Today, we're going to be covering a very classic dish that, when made well and presented properly, can make for a very striking visual, as well as an excellent way to start your day, especially when presented as a fetching open-faced variant, which we will be doing today. I am, of course, talking about the Croque Madame, which will involve the skillful execution of a few skills, especially the invaluable ability to make a perfect egg, as well the execution of a basic béchamel sauce.

"So, without further ado, let's get started."

"Now this one," Prompto offered, once it was his part of the class, and they all had a variety of different Croque Madames to present and take pictures of, "is all about the stacking and how to make the best of the situation if your egg is a little goopy or your sauce is kind of...you know...not so great or lumpy."

His eggs were definitely a little goopy and his sauce was not so great or lumpy, which meant that even if he could make his dish Instagram worthy, anyone could, right?

Right?

Well, we'll find out! He's definitely around to see how you do and to offer suggestions!
