Sociology Courses | April 12, 2006

Sociology of Violence (2nd) / Sociology of the Paranormal (6th)

Both of Grissom's classes get variations on the same short speech.

"Due to some unforeseen circumstances, I need to conclude this class immediately, and bump your final exam up to next week. I know that this disappoints some of you, but at least you'll appreciate the lighter courseload during your exam period, which is rapidly approaching. You will receive full term grades on your report cards, as I have collected more than a sufficient number of assignments from you.

I have also devised a study guide for you, due to the change in schedule, it only seems fair.

If you have any questions or concerns, now is the time to get those issues cleared up. My last office hours will be on Friday. Thank you all for an interesting semester, and best of luck in the future."

"I know I don't have to ask you to keep an eye out for Phoebe, or Allie, and I also realize that you and Veronica are not exactly friends. But whatever the two of you have managed to get yourselves into... please keep an eye on her, for me. She may not always be right, but she could have gotten herself killed trying to prove your innocence. And you probably have more in common than you think..."

He trailed off, knowing he was probably quickly losing him. "She's young, smart, determined, and reckless. Let's just say I'm familiar with the type. It would mean a lot to me, if you could keep an eye on her."

"I'll do what I can," Bel said solemnly. "She may not like it, though. But she doesn't have to know I'm watching out for her. I kinda owe her that at least anyway."

He put his hand out to shake Bel's.

Bel shook Grissom's hand. "I won't let you down," he said, meaning it in more ways than one.

"You have nothing to prove to me," he replied simply. "I'll see you tomorrow in class."
