Shop Class, Wednesday

The classroom was set up exactly like it had been on Monday, and Sam was once again at the front of the room. She took a sip of coffee and waved to the class.

"Morning, guys. Today is implementation of your sketches for the conifer habitats, as you know. If you weren't here Monday, I need a description of your pine or cypress tree and a sketch of your habitat before I'll let you near the power tools."

She gestured to the table saw. "As for the power tools, please remember to wear your safety goggles and watch where you put your limbs, especially when the blades are running. Any horseplay or fighting around the tools, and I'll assign you detention. This school's liability insurance is high enough already."

Stark got to work making a home for his weetiny pine tree. He made it a little wooden box, easy to take apart for when the tree needed a bigger home, with a lining and drainage holes, and added a tray underneath to catch any excess water or dirt. Then he filled it up and planted the weetiny tree. Then he watered it and patted it and told it he hoped it would like its new home. Because you should always be nice to the plants even if they aren't blue.
