Summer Shenanigans, Wednesday, May 19, 2021

Good morning, everyone! The sun was shining, the weather was getting pleasantly warm, the freaking gross cicadas were crunching under your feet and Anakin had set himself up in the park with a bullhorn and a bunch of giant plastic storage containers full of ice water.

Surely this will end well for everybody!

"Today you will participate in the ten toes challenge!" Anakin announced. "Working in teams, you will lay on your backs and balance these containers of ice water on your socked feet. Then, going in a circle, you must each take off one sock, then the other, without tipping the water onto yourselves. It's about teamwork!"

And gravity. And Anakin's personal amusement.

"Come down when I call your name and get your team socks!" He grinned. "Oh, and no powers again this week, please."

You last the longest and are this week's big winners (such as that goes), but it was Elli who eventually tips the water!

Clare found her socks to be adorable and was very enthusiastic about this event (or would be until she found out how heavy that water was). "I think we have a really good shot of winning!" she burbled happily. "This is going to be cracker!"

"Are you serious?" Faye asked, eyeing the socks with horror. "I mean, obviously we're winning, but this is awful."

And she was already trying to figure out how to cheat because she had had more than enough ice water related nonsense from you, Anakin.

Which meant she was -- as with all things -- taking this very personally.

"Oh there are worse challenges we could be a part of," Barry replied. "Last year I had to capture goldfish with my toes."

Actually that event went very well for Barry last time but for more personal reasons.
