The Danger Shop was looking like a lab again today, and Miguel was chipper. "So, I hope you all had fun with your newly holographic phones! Did you get anybody jealous and asking for one? Remember, we want to get everybody hooked on more future tech. This week, we were going to do hovercars, but...well." He gestured to take in Fandom. "Not much point. So instead, hoverbikes!"

His gesture this time took in the motorcycles at the front of the room. "Might take two weeks, but we're going to shortcut a bit and modify existing bikes to hover instead of building from scratch. We'll also cover getting rid of the heavy and unnecessarily ecologically destructive fossil-fuel gas tank and replacing it with energy cells. And you'll
get to customize them however you want, too." He grinned at Astrid if she was there. "I have appropriate paint."

He clapped his hands. "Let's get to it!"

Oh. Miles was so into this. And he was totally ready to give his hover bike a spidey-themed paint job as well.

It's like a motorcycle, but it hovers. It really should be a motorhover rather than a hovercycle.

Take out the wheels, install the hover parts, replace the tank with a fuel cell, decorate. You'll get two weeks for this one.

Motorhover or Hovercycle, Miles didn't care. He immediately started tearing apart the old motorcycle. With gusto.

HYPOTHETICALLY SPEAKING, how many extra parts did you have, Miguel? Because Beaker's fuel cell was already smoking.

Astrid did not consider herself mechanically inclined at all, but if trying to figure out how to convert her own hoverbike would eventually give her free reign to decorate said hoverbike? She was going to hone in and focus and come out of this much more mechanically inclined that she would have thought possible.

She wondered if that meant having to ask Miles for help at some point, but she also figured she could avoid filling the room with even more smoke alongside Beaker, so that was promising!
