"Today we're gonna play lawn bowling or bocce ball." We're those even the same thing? Damned if Magnus knew! "But sometimes the balls explode."
And by sometimes they meant most of the time. It made thing interesting. "Consider it motivation to be prompt about making your shot."
Magnus gestured broadly over toward a field they'd set up with the Danger Shop controls that looked like it might have been bombed a few times. "You wanna throw or roll your ball toward that lil' ball out there. Closer you get, the more points!"
"And probably less chance of exploding." Or maybe not, just to keep things interesting. "Keep an ear out for any beeping."
"Oh yeah, deeeefinitely keep an ear out," Magnus agreed. "And maybe don't throw them too hard?"
Unless of course you wanted them to explode.
