Creature Languages, 4/10, Period 4

There is a rather interesting creature [OOC: The little one, not Kermie!] perched on a parrot lobster stand at the front of class today.

Dream nodded toward him as he passed out vocabulary sheets. "Hello. I enjoyed watching you work on the Lobster folk dance on Thursday. Today, we are going to learn Lobster in more depth. Our guest lecturer is Polly, who was "raised from a fingerling" on a pirate ship."

"Review your vocabulary sheets, then ask Polly questions at will."

Blair sat down behind Molly quietly. He rehearsed his greeting over and over in his head and finally decided on something that was nice and casual. Not apologetic and not pathetic. Juuuust right.

"Honnk" He coughed and blushed furiously. What was it about Molly that made him nervous and...honk-y?

Molly turned around at the noise. "Good to know you're still alive," she said in a quiet and very neutral tone before turning to face the front of the room again.

Well, crap. Blair mentally headdesked and leaned forward to whisper at Molly's back.

"Yeah, um...last week was...I'm sorry I didn't hang out with you at all. It was really rude not to talk to you or anything."

Molly turned her head halfway around and spoke without looking at him. "I need to study my lobster vocabulary right now. Maybe I'll have time to talk to you after class."

Molly bent her head over her vocabulary sheet, but really couldn't concentrate anymore.
