Creature Languages, 4/10, Period 4

There is a rather interesting creature [OOC: The little one, not Kermie!] perched on a parrot lobster stand at the front of class today.

Dream nodded toward him as he passed out vocabulary sheets. "Hello. I enjoyed watching you work on the Lobster folk dance on Thursday. Today, we are going to learn Lobster in more depth. Our guest lecturer is Polly, who was "raised from a fingerling" on a pirate ship."

"Review your vocabulary sheets, then ask Polly questions at will."

Xander does not actually have his lobster antennae on. He suspects real lobsters might find that disrespectful, and they have ouchie sharp claws.

//Do you guys only like to...communicate... to Lobster Rock, or do you like other kinds of music too?//

//Do you know the Way To San Jose Pirate Song? It's pretty good. Got dancing and singing. And, um. Pirates.//

//I know a lot of pirate songs. Don't know if I know the same one you do. Why don't you hum a few bars.//

Dude, it's a Ray Stevens song, and not from one of the on-crack albums. That totally trumps the fact that it's about Perrier-swilling pirates.

Xander is happy to hum a few bars. They're even the ones about silver-buckled slippers and tight shiny pants.

Polly laughed. "That's a good one. Not anything we'd sing on board though."
