Cognitive Logic in Understanding Evidence; Wednesday, Second Period [01/06].
The class instructions would direct the students to meet at the danger shop for each class, unless otherwise noted by the teacher, and if they were new and had trouble finding the danger shop, well...they probably weren't going to do too well in a class about finding things out, were they? Either way, as they arrived, they would find themselves on the doorstep of an elaborate, ostentatious mansion in the middle of a dark and stormy night. A butler greets them at the door before ushering them in, welcoming them to the party. "Mr. Corpse shall be down shortly," the butler assures them, leading them into the dining hall, where a long table awaits with chairs becoming progressively filled by classmates and your teacher. "He apologizes for the delay, but implores you to please, get started without him! So have a seat, and we'll begin!"
Once everyone was there and seated, the class did begin, twofold. In the butler moving around to place before everyone the first course of what is clearly a very fancy meal, and in Rosa looking them all over and explaining.
"Welcome," Rosa said, "to Cognitive Logic in Understand Evidence, a practical look at solving a very specific crime. For the purposes of this class, you don't know each other. You've never seen each other in your entire lives. We are all strangers here gathered under the invitation of a mysterious Mr. Corpse. Do you know Mr. Corpse? Is he a stranger to you? Who are you and what are you doing here at his party? All details that only you and our host are privy to....
"So," she picked up the glass of 'wine' that the butler had just filled before moving on to the next cup, peering thoughtfully around the table, "who might you be? And how is it that you know our dear Mr. Corpse? That will be our first class, getting to know our fellow diners, on this night where absolutely nothing could possibly go wrong..."

And then...! -- CLUE, 01/06.
Cut off by a bloodcurdling scream!
And, moments later, the butler came rushing back into dining room to announce, "Oh! It's terrible! Mr. Corpse! We just found his body! He's..."
Cue dramatic peal of lightning...
"Dead!"
"Dead?" cried Rosa, bolting up from her chair in what was not a totally scripted or planned moment or anything, what?
"Dead!" the butler responded with devistation. "We've just found him, lying there, definitely diseased, in the ballroom!"
"Well, then," Rosa stated, looking around the table, "I think we all know what we must do now, then. To the ballroom!"
Pause.
"...for next class, anyway. We'll get started on the cold dead corpse bright and early next Wednesday. Try to stay alive until then."
[[ and, of course, reactions, questions, comments, trying to finish up that delicious fake meal before you depart are not only welcome, but encouraged ]]

Apologies to the person across from her who might have had a few crumbs spat in their direction.

And then tripping over it, falling to the ground.
She stayed there, one hand to her chest.
"Goddess!"

And she was fine! She was! She was--
Her right ankle screamed as she put weight on it and Elli buckled, with a gasp.
... Okay, so she wasn't fine.

Elli breathed in deep, around the pain, which now that she'd triggered it, just kept throbbing.
"Luckily," Elli said, cringing as she flexed her foot to see how that felt. It hurt, but she could do it. "I'm actually trained in first aid. I don't suppose you'd be willing to help me get back to my room so I can look after it?"
Someone else, who would remain unnamed, this was completely innocent and not a ploy to get an attractive, concerned guy to fuss over her.
Re: And then...! -- CLUE, 01/06.
She was pretty tiny.
"Are you okay with me scooping you up?"
Re: And then...! -- CLUE, 01/06.
Elli also hand no qualms about accepting help.
“Yes,” she said gratefully.
Re: And then...! -- CLUE, 01/06.
Did the school even have one of those?
Re: And then...! -- CLUE, 01/06.
"We do have a clinic," she said amiably. "But I'm one of the nurses there, so for something like this I can treat it just as well in my room."
And if it still hurt badly on Monday, well, she'd be heading to the clinic to get it looked after by those with more experience.

Did Mr. Corpse have a first name? Apparently he felt like a Steven to Alexis.
